“Me and my friend visited Konoz today (02/09/2024) Ms.Sabia (sorry if I've misspelled) and the whole team were amazing. Ms. Sabia gave her home made Puerto Rican hot sauce for me to try and it was delicious. She and the whole staff were very happy kind and professional. Kajen Burgers we had were amazing. Thanks for the ambiance, the great service and the delicious food.“
“I've lived in this area for almost a decade, but had not yet found Latin food that could compare to what I had growing up in Union City and when I lived in the city and visited Washington Heights. Until now, that is! Surrender Cafe recently became available on DoorDash. I had never heard of it, but was drawn by the great reviews, tempting photos of the food, and many of my favorites on a menu with lots of my favorites. This is the first time I've ever ordered from a place, and then immediately again the next day. I especially love that so many of their dishes are available in smaller portions. Want to try the mofongo? Here's the mofonguitos! And meat-only portions can be had of just about everything in small, medium or large sizes, which made it easy for me to sample the beef and chicken guisado, red and black beans, pernil, so I ordered the bistec ecebollado for my main dish. Everything, absolutely everything is delicious, and arrived well packaged. Oh - and I almost forgot - the tres leches! Absolutely top notch. Not only some of the best Latin food I've ever had, but some of the best comfort food I've ever had, period.“
“The place has such a vibe. The food is just delicious. I had a bacon egg and cheese and a chicken cutlet sandwich. We all have that sandwich spot. The one we like the bread at or the coffee or the way we get treated. This is my spot now. Customer service made you feel right at home. The vibe made you want to stay and relax for a little. Take some time and read this memo the owner has posted by the register. I should have taken a picture but the one line that stop out to me, If you need to vent do it because I will vent to you. “Very good, one of the best lunch options in the neighborhood. There are quite a few similar food establishments in the area but for me this is a top spot. Their daily specials for lunch are great options, the place is clean and feels authentic.“
“Yes yes and yes. Love this food truck. I try alot of places and this is now on my top 5. The lechon is amazing juicy, the bacalauito is so good.... flavor and all perfect crunch, the tostones de panas so good nice crispy while soft inside the sauce that comes with it omg amazing flavor. The yucca was soo good. I Also had a passion fruit pina coloda that was super good not to sweet just perfect. Definitely recommend this place for authentic flavor and amazing customer service. Super friendly and care for there customers. Very affordable. The photos I attached I already ate from.“
“I have visited El Lechon de Negron many times and have never been disappointed. They have authentic Puerto Rican food. They always have e a good fresh selection of classics, such as White Rice and beans, Arroz con Gandules (rice with pigeon peas), juicy pork chops, stewed chicken and pasteles ( Puerto Rican tamales). They offer many other staples as well as empanadas ( patties - chicken or beef) and Alcapurias (taro root and beef fritters). On my recent visit I had the stewed chicken with arroz con gangules and it did not disappoint! It was plentiful and tasty. The service was swift and the staff was attentive. Consistently good - WEPA !“
