Have been coming here since high school. Cute little place in Union Center, with good coffee, delicious food, and lovely service. Always nice to stop here for lunch when I drop by the local bookstore or bakery next door.
You have to try the flying fox, which can be made decaffeinated. Then go next door and grab a cookie from their partner store Jammed Up Bakery ?

Service was friendly thank you. However I ordered the chicken focaccia sandwich with breaded chicken cutlet and they put chicken fingers/popcorn chicken on my sandwich, that's honestly disrespectful for $15. Terrible.

Always a vibe. Dropped in this past Sunday for the live jazz and to play a couple games..cover is $5 for live jazz as well as a small fee to rent the games which can be added to your tab. Missed this place. Will be back soon.

The coffee & food were amazing as they always are, but I came in on a pretty slow Thursday afternoon and had to go up multiple times to the front to order my food despite the other 2-3 patrons there getting waited on. I found that odd, and found my server to be a little rude when taking my orders (no eye contact, no pleasantries) whereas she was perfectly pleasant to everyone else in the cafe. It won’t ruin my chances of going back but it was disappointing since I felt like I had found a nice new coffee shop to do work in.

I’ve followed this spot on instagram for quite some time and didn’t realize this at the time. Yesterday, I decided to take a trip to Union to handle some business. Fortunately for me, I stumbled upon an amazing, chill atmosphere. The staff was very warm & friendly, especially the young lady who served me. The salad was amazing. My only complaint is finding this place sooner.

I haven't been to Van Gogh's Ear in a very long time and recently I was take out for a surprise dinner here and I am glad I was. It still has that very cozy eclectic vibe I remember The appetizer we had was the mezza platter and it was great. I wasn't super hungry and this really was a nice way to start things off, not heavy and fried what I'm usually accustomed to. I also ordered the burrito with chicken and it was a very healthy portion that I could not finish eating and too half of it home. It was so filling next time, I'll go vegetarian and forget the chicken. For dessert I got the mocha shake - DELICIOUS! I can't wait to go back again on a music night and just chill out with some coffee and pick food. I highly recommend. PS - and most important - the staff was friendly and very attentive - a major plus nowadays.

What happen to their food? I’ve been either dining in or taking food to go from here for years. I ordered two pizzas and when I got home I was nothing but disappointed. I don’t mind paying a little extra for food if I think it’s worth it but this was definitely not worth it.When did they shrink the size of their pizzas??? I paid 43 bucks not counting the tip for two small appetizer sized pizzas….I wish I took pictures of it so you guys could see but they were so small I was done eating before I could grab my phone…Do better guys. Doesn’t make sense to pay 20 bucks a pizza that barely feeds a toddler.

Got seated and no one came up to us for 15 minutes. Servers looked at us too and did not even offer water. I left so that’s all I got! Snooty atmosphere too.

The ambiance is everything! Vintage, comfy and cozy! The food was mouth watering and fresh and the service was on point! I’ll be back for sure!
Visited for the first time on a Sunday. Free parking on street but busy. A lot (somewhat difficult to find if you are not from the area sits adjacent/behind". The place is so adorable, super cute, eclectic and clean. Also very, very cold especially by the door where we sat (mind you 28 degrees today). There was no breakfast although the website says brunch so one would assume some breakfast like items. We had an appetizer to share (6 of us) which was delicious, plenty and a good choice. The young ladies worked hard, but when they brought the appetizers they brought no plates or napkins, so we had to ask. The lunch was good. Salads, sandwiches, soup (the young lady recommended the Potatoe which I excitedly ordered but it was way too thin and oily although nicely presented), foccaccia which was delicious (the up charge for kettle chips were just plain ruffles so not sure if the server wss confused). The bill was $170 for 6. We had some hot tea( not super hot), Iced tea and coffee. I think.the servers were hustling but there appeared to be no Manager, Supervisor or Owner around on what was a very busy day. Our reservation was also for 1230 and at 215 we were told our table was being given to an incoming reservation. Not a very long lunch for 6 people. And if there was a time limit we should have been notified when we made the reservation, as we were notified our table would only be held for 15 minutes. Overall, the place is adorable. The staff tried hard. The food is solid. But definitely some misses. I will give it another shot, as location right off the GSP and downtown is also very convenient.

This place is my go to catch up spot when I’m meeting my girls. The cozy, intimate vibe is unmatched and the playlist is always good. Food is okay - I’d recommend the mezze platter, chicken quesadillas, and flatbreads. Surprisingly, their desserts are not the best here. The lavender cake seemed promising at first but it tasted like I was eating cake drenched in my essential oils. You can’t go wrong with carrot or chocolate cake and those are pretty good here. The drinks are creative and I try a new one every time. Staff are very friendly but I often go when they’re busy so service is usually slow here.Overall, this is a great spot to hang out and have a conversation with a good friend.
