Clean and modern interior, along with rich chocolate flavor, delighted both my eyes and taste buds.I bought an Iced Hot Chocolate and a 4pk Brownie. Both have a rich chocolate taste, especially the brownie, which is dense yet cuts smoothly and the harmony of nuts and salt sprinkled on top is heavenly.I will definitely come back for more??

The cookies are good but the staff is not very friendly to minorities. Very disappointed with the way I was treated. In reply to your baseless reply you cannot tell anyone how they feel. If I felt mistreated you cannot tell me it was a baseless accusation! I will not be recommending anyone anymore to you guys! Your cookies get stale quickly and are very expensive!

I've been going to vesta chocolate for a long time, and it never disappoints. Everything at this place is delicious. I would recommend the cookies and brownies. Also the owner and workers are really nice. I highly recommend stopping in.

Very good chocolate, very overpriced.I eat a lot of chocolate, and this is definitely good stuff. However, $36 for 2 small bars and 2 large (but actually small) hot chocolates just isn't worth it. I could understand $25, or even $30, but $36 is highway robbery.Edit: My review seems to have struck a nerve with the owner, so let's do some math. Vesta's bars are priced at $9 for 45 grams, or $5.66/oz. Comparable fair trade bars are typically priced between $1-2/oz, meaning Vesta is priced 3-5x higher than other chocolatiers. Sorry, but it's just not worth it.

I accidentally discovered Vesta when walking by one day. I could smell the chocolate from the sidewalk and went in. I actually remember the bank that was previously there as my dad grew up in Montclair and we visited almost every weekend as children in the 60s and 70s . I cannot say how much my sister and I love this store. We come from Virginia and Pennsylvania each weekend as we close down my uncle's house after his recent passing. We are in awe of this store and especially those brownies. There is nothing we have bought there that has led to any disappointment. We were so excited for them winning an "Oprah's Best" nod in her magazine. We rue the day when we are unable to shop here but we heard they will be offering chocolate making classes in the future. We will sign up for sure! Thank you to the owners of this store for representing what is best about small business.

Great little chocolate shop! Tried their hot chocolate w/ oat milk, brownie sundae, & a vegan maca ashwagandha bar. Everything was fantastic!

Drove 30 mins to try out their hot chocolate.Pros- made from actual chocolate and not too sweet.Cons- missing depth of flavor and was “lukewarm” not “hot”.There isn’t a seating area inside. Haven’t tried anything else but won’t be returning for hot chocolate.

I thought this would be a great place to visit once I found it on TikTok and based on the good reviews, but all I got from the minute I walked in was poor service and a very unwelcome vibe. The chocolate quality was not as advertised. I could have done better chocolate at home.

The most wonderful smelling shop in the history of ever. Best chocolate I’ve ever eaten. Period. End of story.

The hot chocolate is so rich and creamy and so are the chocolates. I love coming here every time I'm in montclair. The service was also very good.

Overhyped and disappointing, sadly. I was excited to try some things after reading about this place but it failed to deliver. The things I tried ranged from good to not very good, and for the prices it's definitely not worth it, because you aren't getting a product any better than the top competition. Maybe in Montclair there is nothing to compete but that doesn't change the fact that I won't be going back. The chocolate chip cookie was the best thing I tried, and it wasn't that great. Chocolate chip cookies are subjective of course, but this one was saltier than usual but in a good way. The edges had a nice crisp to them but the majority of the cookie in the middle was lackluster. It was fine, good even, but why bother? It's not anything unique or better than many other cookies. The brownie was ok. It has a very soft, almost ganache texture, but the flavor did not impress. Cocoa nibs on top were different but did not elevate it enough. The bonbons were most disappointing. I tried a few flavors and none were good. At almost $4 each it was criminal. The earl grey was borderline awful. It had so much bergamot it tasted more like licorice than earl grey. Truly the last straw if this little attention is paid to the products.
