Tried Bloom for the first time last night. The food was excellent, and the service even more impressive. I really enjoyed the Chicken Coq Au Vin and will be back for the famous kimchi fried rice!

Edit: I appreciate the fast response from the restaurant, and I recognize that reservations would have been wise on a Friday night. I don’t fault the restaurant for not having a table available indoors and offering options at the bar or outdoors. However, reservations wouldn’t have changed the management of the technical difficulties that occurred last night, so the restaurant’s recommendation to make reservations doesn’t change my overall impression or plans not to dine in at Bloom. Still loved the food, though!TLDR: amazing food, get takeout/don’t eat inLonger version: I’m sad not to give five stars because the food here is overall spectacular. We’ve done takeout as well as dined in, and I will definitely do takeout again because the food is so freaking good. Specific dishes and service experience described below.Food highlights:- short rib (melts in your mouth and comes with the most adorable side of potato ever)- pork belly (juicy, salty, satisfying, with a deliciously sweet sauce)- bulgogi and kimchi fried rice (great intro to Korean food for anyone who hasn’t had it before and satisfying for Koreans who miss home)- shishito peppers (lightly crisp, not too spicy)- bone marrow (luscious, salty, decadent)Just Okay- bread (miserly side of butter that covered maybe two slices)- shrimp balls (nothing special)Service: for takeout, super easy and accommodating, 5 stars. The glimpse of the interior made us think we’d found our new favorite restaurant, and we were excited to dine in!Service: for dining in, without reservations, they only had seats outdoors, and in March 2024, they have 4 tents out back. The tents are theoretically kept warm with heat lamps and a clip that keeps the tent flaps closed. However, even though we arrived to an empty restaurant, the only available seats available were at the bar or in one the four empty tents. We (wrongly) went with the tent option. The heat lamp was broken in the first tent, and after they tried fixing it and had multiple people come in to press the on/off button in confusion (while leaving the tent flaps open), they only moved us after we requested it. We had already received our first appetizer to give you an idea of how long this took. Only two tents seemed to have working heat lamps at the time they moved us.Our second tent’s heat lamp also stopped working because too many things were plugged in? So we heard someone say to “only plug in what’s needed!!” and that it “should” work now. The tent eventually warmed up, but we had to make sure that the tent flaps were clipped closed each time anyone came in or out because no one else seemed to care.Management never offered a courtesy appetizer or drink (non-alcoholic since Bloom is BYOB), and I don’t know what was happening inside. However, the outdoor experience was enough that I don’t want to risk dining in at Bloom ever again and would never recommend it to anyone either.

This restaurant never disappoints. It's hands down the best fine dining I've had in the surrounding area. Try to remember it's BYOB before you go.

Great dining experience, from the food to the service. Their tuna carpaccio app special and KFC wings were tasty. Same with pork belly and special fettuccine with scallops. Nice and relaxed pace too. Will be back.

We had early reservations tonight and we were the first diners. When we walked in the waitress told us that we had to be done in 90 minutes. My wife and I are fairly quick eaters. But when I hear something like that it can suck the enjoyment out of the dining experience.Putting that aside, we had great appetizers and main dishes. The deserts were not on par with the previous two courses. We have eaten at Bloom several times since the summer time and had enjoyed it. I don’t think that we will be rushing back.

I love Bloom. Chef Woo has put together what I think is a perfect synthesis of European and Korean cuisine.Every dish I’ve had a Bloom has been outstanding. Bone marrow with a caramelized kimchi jam? Perfect. Kimchi carbonara with shrimp? For me it adds what’s always been a missing dimension in carbonara - umami and acid. Great dish.Every fish preparation I’ve had here is delicious. Even the shishitos are outstanding. Shishitos are shishitos right? All pretty much the same? These are better. I swear. The kale salad is even great. HOW?For me the ne plus ultra is the salt and pepper chicken wings. They are my favorite wings. They are my favorite chicken. They may be my favorite food. Crisp delicious and perfectly seasoned. Available dry or with sauces. I like them dry with sauce(s) on the side so they maintain perfect crisp but you still get to sample the stellar sauces. The staff is great, friendly, professional and attentive. This restaurant is just a joy all around.

A luxury dining experience at regular fine dining prices. The pork belly dish is this sort of amazing combination of flavors, and definitely recommend trying the mocktails if you didn't BYOB. Service was phenomenal. Will be back.
