On Sunday I make an order of Mofongo con carne frita iwhich was raw (lightly brown and pink inside ) and Penil combo that was not good the flavor was watery and the beans old.. Not recomendations I preferd to make my own home made food.

Each bite was delicious! We can tell the food was made with love! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for authentic Puerto Rican food! We will be there again for sure!Kid-friendliness: Family run business so being that I have 4 kids it was great seeing the owners children there as well.

Plenty of other Puerto Rican food in the area with actual knowledge of how to run a business well. If you go here expect to pay much more for the wrong dish! Shame on this restaurant! Highly disappointed with the quality of service I received.

I had recently ordered two mofongos with chicken and instead received pork. I paid $40 and when i asked to exchange my food for the ones i ordered they said no and claimed i was the one in the wrong. I was not compensated at all for their mistake! What terrible customer service and poor management. Don’t recommend.

The food was fantastic, as was the service, but the reason for the 4 stars is becuse the Red Snapper I ordered was listed as 27 on the menu but was changed 35. They didn't have and paper or physical menu and had to scan QR code for menu and apparently menu was not updated on line with new price. No notice was posted or we were not made aware of price change till we got bill, which in my opinion should have been honored at the listed price.

Beware that this restaurant is charging an 18% service fee and is not notifying customers of this fee. No bill is provided until you go up to the counter and tell them what you ate and then they ask for payment. Its not until after we paid and received the bill that we noticed the 18% fee. And that was after we left a tip of 20%! They refused to remove the charge. NJ law states that merchanta must post these fees. We love to support local businesses, but not at the expense of being taken advantage of.

Let me start off by saying the food was good, but waiting over an hour for our food to arrive and forgetting a whole order and a side isn’t acceptable. A table walked in after we ordered, they ordered and got their food before my table. Than when we go to pay the bill it’s scrambled things we didn’t order are on the bill and instead of taking them off the man at the counter with the braids kept insisting we just pay for the food even though we didn’t order it. Needless to say we paid it and left and we will not be returning. Not worth the stress or losing your appetite waiting for food.

I’m usually not the type to leave a bad review but there is no reason for this place to be rated this high. I just had the worst service here my food took about an hour to come out. They forgot a whole order plus a side so while other tables that got there way after are eating we are still waiting on orders when I noticed the kitchen cleaning up it was obvious they had forgot the rest of our food. Than they even gave us a hard time about paying $3.00 beans ( that we didn’t know they packed for us) like we weren’t already given a hard time. And to top it all off we had to take our food to go because they were closing and had already ruined the experience. Never will my family and I come here again!!
