Restaurantji's Voorhees guide: Where to find the ultimate Mexican flavors.
“The food is always great at this location compared to some others nearby. I usually get tofu but I tried the shrimp that they have for a limited time and it was so well seasoned and good. I usually pick up my food but the dining room also seems very clean & well kept. Keep up the great work“
“I don't really care too much for Chipotle but everyone I was with wanted to get it. I got a veggie burrito bowl. The person who made my bowl was stingy with thr veggies even after I asked for extra and saying I would pay. But this has happened to me at other Chipotle locations. Another thing was the tabasco sauces were not out like other locations. The store was very clean!Vegetarian options: Great choices but do not give you a lot of veggies.“
“Our first visit to La Ingrata and we had a wonderful experience. Co-owner Karla talked us through the menu and provided great service and conversation throughout the meal. I opted for a special of the day - pork pieces with skin still attached cooked in an amazing salsa verde, served with warm house-made tortillas, rice, and beans. So delicious eaten taco-style with a just-right hot sauce. My wife had a shrimp dish in mildly spicy tomato sauce and side salad, also delicious. We started with the house-made guacamole which was outstanding, along with fresh in-house tortilla chips. BYOB meant we enjoyed the meal with our own beers. Outstanding food, friendly service, a chance to taste some new dishes and a Mexico City-style of cooking, and affordable prices - we'll definitely be back!“
“I've been meaning to try this place for so long and saw that they were recently put on GrubHub so tried them for lunch today. I got the San Jose beef barbacoa burrito. It was excellent. Grilled really nicely on the outside and everything inside was super flavorful. Will definitely be trying some of their Cuban sandwiches next!“
“This place is delicious!! I’m originally from San Diego and it’s very hard to find Mexican food that’s even close to anything I grew up eating. This was by far the best I’ve had outside of San Diego. I can’t wait to go back. Enjoy the photo of my half eaten food ?. Every Mexican restaurant nearby needs to come here and take notes.“
“Love this place and go in/order here often since its local. I really like the birra dumplings and seafood eggroll. However, I recently tried their wings ordering out and was HIGHLY disappointed?. I paid $12 for soggy old meat with no flavor, yet I ordered the chipotle wings . I made my two friends try the wings bc i refused to even eat them. She said it burnt her lip and the smell made her nauseous. They were literally FUNKY. Will still continue to eat here because for the most part their food is good. However after this experience I won’t risk ordering their wings??!!!“
“Probably one of the best Taco bells around known for the good quality food but that's not the only thing..If you get a chance to meet Mrs t you're truly blessed she is a wonderful manager there.I wish the world had more of her thank you Mrs t“
“My wife and I tried this place for the first time on 02/09. They actually had live entertainment! A guy singing his heart out in Spanish. It really added to the atmosphere. The food is phenomenal! Very authentic. The portions are huge, and the prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back.“
“The best guac I’ve ever had, hands down! The homemade chips paired excellently with it too. I shared the mini sopesitos and they were great, not too heavy either. The birria tacos hit the spot! Tres leches was so light and fluffy, the perfect ending to a delicious meal. The restaurant is very small but gives a homey, “one of the family” feel. BYOB. Service was prompt and friendly. I can’t wait to come back! Also, the leftover tacos were even great the next day heated up in the air fryer“
“We 100% enjoy this place. The food is always fresh & the staff is always friendly. On our last visit, Regulo was our server. Attentive to dietary needs & great service. The guac is amazing & delicious margarita mix. Highly recommend “
“Got some takeout and it was slammin'. This immediate area was heavily due for some really good Mexican/Hispanic food. Looking forward to dining in.Year update: It's still the best in the area and I'm always excited to eat here!“
“I'm visiting NJ from El Paso, Texas and there is nowhere to find Puebla food :(. I ordered a cemita de milanesa de res and it was delicious ???? just as I remembered them on my visits to Puebla, the portion is huge ?, It only takes 2 servings, also pot coffee, that one lacked flavor. The place was clean, and the service was excellent from the young man who served us, very attentive, polite and helpful, I will definitely go again.“
“I would like to share my recent experience.First and foremost, I have been a patron of La Esperanza for over a decade and I have never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly, caring, and attentive. Especially Oscar. He is such a hard worker and doesn’t sweat, not even under pressure of being the best bartender. I arrived at 6pm. The busiest time at the restaurant and waited patiently for my food, like a good patron would. The food came out hot and delicious and the drinks were phenomenal. 1000/1000 recommend! Thank you Oscar, a true American Hero!“
“The food here is amazing! Get past the small size, the lack of ambiance, and the plastic silverware and sink your teeth into the best tacos and burritos you've ever had. I've traveled in Mexico and been to tons of Mexican restaurants all over the Philadelphia region and this place is the real deal. The staff are friendly and helpful, they've got quart-sized authentic drinks like horchata and hibiscus tea, and the food is served quickly. If you don't want to eat there (or at the outdoor picnic tables) get take out. But don't miss out on this place. We're going back again this weekend!“
“The food and atmosphere of this place are a true hidden gem. My wife and I order from here often and decided to stop it because it’s always quality, and OMG it’s even better fresh. We have to be careful not to make it a weekly habit.I ordered steak enchiladas with mole sauce, she ordered a grilled chicken quesadilla with fajita veggies. So good, so fresh tasting!“
“Friendly customer service. I got the mole burrito with the rice on the side, but still came with rice in it. Husband got the Spicy burrito and boy was it spicy! Coming from someone who puts extra spice on everything. Queso was good for the area and big plus for having happy hour Margaritas!Kid-friendliness: Had high chairs and pretty good kid menu.“
“Food is delicious ? I got the veggies fajitas and hubby got chicken fajitas. You get chips on the table when you sit. Service was a little slow with drinks and I expected more toppings and guac ? or sour cream with the fajitas but maybe that's an American thing ??♀️ the owner stopped by our table and took time to talk to us and tell us how he started his business.. He's very friendly and genuine. If you're ever in the area definitely stop by for a drink or meal.Vegetarian options: Only three vegetarian options ?“
“We just used La Cita catering for my husband’s 50th birthday party that we hosted at our home. Our event was for about 30 people. We ordered taco platters, enchiladas, rice and beans and guacamole. Everything was delicious! I worked with Olivia on the order and the process was easy, the price was reasonable and everything was packed up beautifully in trays to bringing home and drop over chafing dishes and sternos. We always have enjoyed dining at La Cita and getting take out, but now we add to the list using them for catering!“
“LOVE this Qdoba. The staff are very efficient and friendly. The manager is positive and friendly, there's a woman who addresses customers in Spanish and I find it to be great for building rapport, and a young girl who kind and is great at finishing up orders when ringing you up. The food is great and I find it to be better than Chipotle and Pancheros. Better options, in my opinion. Despite it being a drive away, they've earned customers out of my Boyfriend and I.“
“Hands down the best Mexican this side of Berlin/Clementon/Lindenwood. I've been coming here for over 5 years, never had a bad meal or experience. The food is fresh and well made, huge portions. Very friendly family. Just remember to bring cash they don't take cards.Parking: Restaurant is located in a plaza, plenty of parking.“
“10/10 across the board! Fast and delicious! The restaurant is small but mighty! Very welcoming and nicely decorated. The staff is very nice and loving. The food is made by order FRESH! The flavor is amazing and the amount of meat you get in the tacos won’t leave you disappointed. I ordered one of each (pastor, carne y pollo) each one was 10/10 dnt forget to squeeze that lime on top ;)Parking: Street parking only and it’s located on a busy street. Try to aim for side streets.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant does not have any stairs to enter the location which is wheelchair accessible for sure.“
“I thought I had found my favorite authentic Mexican restaurant until I found this gem! Being married to a Mexican immigrant we may be a bit of Mexican food snobs but this place has exceeded all expectations! Staff is friendly, it’s a great atmosphere but the food…THE FOOD!! Amazing! Robust menu, fair prices and holy smokes they have tons of options! I never order desserts when I eat out but I have tried their churros, tres leches, flan and tiramisu in just two visits! All are amazing but I’m a sucker for tres leches and it does sell out so get there early on weekends! Additionally, we got the churros as take out and they were still crispy and not soggy even after the ride home.Don’t be afraid to deviate from the typical Tex-mex of tacos and enchiladas, their tortas and chimichanga is awesome!Horchata is homemade and not made from that powder or concentrate which pairs so nicely with the mild spice of their green salsa.Sadly we scarfed down our food too fast to have pics of it all but I’ll attach what I have. Can’t wait to go back!“
“I get take out from here every week. The best authentic Mexican tacos in the area! The have great daily specials too. Everything, including their tortillas are homemade. I had their Molle chicken special and it was amazing. I’m looking forward to trying their fajitas too.“
“I drive over to Camden for a concert from about an hour and half ride. I absolutely love the food in this place will return if in the area. I just did not not the waitress she was a bit unfriendly and gave us attitude. Over all food was delicious. Great place to eat.“
“I wanted to try something different today. I checked out the menu for this place a couple of times over the last few months. Today was the day to finally give it a shot and my stomach and I are elated that I did. I had the California screaming burrito (or something like that). It was SO FLAVORFUL. I could not stoping eating until it was all done. I will be returning again VERY soon. The staff were incredibly nice especially given the fact that I went in right around closing time. Try this place and try it soon. Sorry Chipotle but umm.... There maybe a new sheriff in town.“
“I found this little restaurant by accident one day, and let me tell you, the food is unbelievably good. The Owner Miss Rosa and the staff will treat you like family, the service the food and the atmosphere is top notch, if you craving good authentic Mexican food around the area you must stop here. They also have a bakery and sweet treats for any occasion ?“
“Great spot to grab drinks with friends and watch a game. I was blown away by the fully vegan menu offered by Poppy Taco and all the food we had was delicious. We went with some friends who got non-vegan food from the other vendors which they said was good. The only thing that's super weird is that everything is served on paper plates. Not only does that produce a tremendous amount of waste, it also knocks the food experience down a peg. Get some real plates, it'll make a difference!“
“Went for Taco Tuesday special. We got tacos and guacamole and chips. I got the birra and my wife got the chicken tacos. They bring out chips with beans and cheese also. Everything was tasty and fresh. Friendly staff. It's a weird location off the beaten path. I liked it and would definitely go again. The bill with a soda was $25 for the 2 of us. Be great for bringing kids with out killing the budget. Regular menu is a little pricey. Like $18-$20 for burritos.“
“Today, I ordered takeout and I wasn't disappointed. First time at the restaurant and I was greeted like I was family. Family owned and operated, which I love supporting local businesses. I meet the owners and family, and they were extremely cordial and friendly. The restaurant was nicely set up with plenty of seating. It was also very clean inside. I had the shrimp tacos with avocado and a side of rice. The meal was very flavorful and delicious. The sauces were very good as well. I'm looking forward to going back and trying out more of their authentic dishes. If you're in the area, I highly recommended going there and giving it a try for yourself. If you like my review and photos, please give then a thumbs up and follow me for great locations to go. CHEERS.....Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance and seating“
“Love this place most authentic Mexican food around here in cherry hill, the customer service is good as well the people are so nice and they gave me realistic time for when my food was going to be ready and if you know real Mexican food it doesn't take 5 minutes to make, and the owner is so attentive and nice we felt very welcomed and me with twins is truly what matters to me when going to a restaurant with my family it's a cute little spot but the food is amazing and the service“
“I have never had a bad meal from Mi Ranchito. And I eat here 2-4 times a week. The chicken tinga burrito is unreal. It is one of my favorite meals on planet earth, and the fact that it comes with crispy lunch fries, is the icing on the cake. 10/10.“
“We had little jalapeños for takeout so I can't speak to the atmosphere, but the food was pretty good! Definitely better than your standard Mexican restaurant, but the chicken was a little dry (we had the chicken chimichanga and a chicken wet burrito... Also guac and chips) in my opinion the guac and chips was overpriced for what you got, but the rest was fair. I'll probably get it again“
“We finally got to try Paloma on this beautiful day! We were super excited to try and we were not disappointed! The virgin margaritas are hand made by Josh, and are incredible! I got the blood orange and my husband got the regular margarita (byob). We had guac, birria tacos, street corn, green chile enchiladas (so flavorful and light), steak fajitas and tried both the desserts. everything was delicious and packed with flavor! Josh was outstanding and made sure our experience was exceptional! We cannot wait to go back! Don’t sleep on Paloma in collingswood!“
“We’ve been going to Tejas for many years and they’ve always been consistent with their service and the quality of their food. This time I want to show my appreciation for accommodating and allowing us to have our small private event in their newly renovated space! We had a WONDERFUL server, Anne who literally went above and beyond what our group needed. Everything was smooth from speaking to the owner, Jarrelle (I’m sorry if I spelled it incorrectly) about possibly doing it in their location to setting up and getting help from 2 of their workers (sorry I didn’t get their names) to being helped by Anne during the party and until the very end.The surprise birthday party was a big success! The next time we have an event, I would LOVE to definitely do it here again if they would have us back. THANK YOU!“
“The food is amazing! We had chicken nachos, chicken enchiladas and steak tostadas....all legit. The margarita is mix is actually good too, usually I find it too sweet. Tres leches cake was perfection. Definitely make a rez, the inside is pretty small and low-key. Can't wait to go back again!“
“I’ve been dropping off my laundry next door for a couple of years, but had never tried this restaurant right next door. Well one day myself and my son decided to try it. First I’ll say the young lady that hosted and waited on us was very sweet, and helpful. The food was incredible. The tortillas are made in house so that’s a huge part of what made it so good. I had the fajita platter it was huge. Enough to eat from twice so worth the value, and it was delicious. My son had tacos and he loved them. The food was great and service was excellent. Definitely recommend“
“Dave, Justin, Sam, Kiera, and Zac are absolutely stellar servers and bartenders. Despite how busy the restaurant becomes, each team member provides exceptional service. The food and drink menu items are unparalleled, but the service is what keeps me coming back. I highly recommend this restaurant because the staff is spectacular and the service is of consistently high quality.“
“Wings are always on point and very good. One of the best I've had in South Jersey. Fries are pretty good also especially if you eat in. Classic dive bar with solid bar food up and down. Only knock is having to ask for extra sauce when ordering so they have a good amount on them.“
“Visited this restaurant today for a quick bite to eat. It was not busy which made me weary however this place is a hidden gem! Very cozy atmosphere and the food was clean with great flavor! Also very authentic and our waitress was polite and attentive. A must if you are in the area!“
“The food is outstanding and the homemade desserts are delightful. One of the best new places, serving Mexican style takeout. The owner of Los Gordos Rosticeria Deli in Berlin is a sweetheart! She creates delicious dishes daily, that has something special for everyone.“
“Loved almost everything about this wonderful little Mexican oasis! Had the steak enchiladas and nearly licked my plate clean. The salsa was fresh and very tasty! Only complaint is that my old bony butt would prefer cushioned seats lol, but so good it wont deter me from coming back!“
“(Translated by Google) A clean place and very friendly people and the food not to mention super delicious I recommend it I hope to return soon(Original)Un lugar limpio y la gente muy amable y la comida ni hablar super rica lo recomiendo espero volver pronto“
“This is my favorite bagel shop, hands down. I’m shocked they don’t have a perfect 5 stars. I really don’t think any other spots in the area even come close to this level of quality. I tell everyone I know to come here.I’m a huge fan of their breakfast sandwiches. My mouth is watering even thinking about it lol. The ingredients are fresh, prepared right there in front of you, and are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. This will become your go-to Sunday morning spot, I guarantee it.Not only do they have amazing bagels, they also have an extensive menu of equally amazing options. I’ve tried their omelettes & lunch sandwiches and they are so yummy. Give it a try! You won’t be disappointed.“
“My bf and I came here to dinner tonight after some shopping and Kaitlyn… (sorry if I misspelled your name) was our amazing server!!!We were starving and I didn’t get a chance for photos but the chicken dip app, spicy chicken tacos, and chicken bowl were all great! The bowl had all the protein and goodness I was craving! So great as in… perfectly tasting, well served and quality worth. Drinks were also the best we’ve had at a Mexican restaurant in a while.. rosemary paloma was his fave! & I enjoyed the cocktail 'something smash' name, that I can’t remember. But we will be back! Thanks for a great dinner night out. Highly recommend“
“I’ve spent a lot of time in Mexico & California and this food is far superior to most of what I’ve ever had. Tacos de pastor are ridiculous, a must try! Staff are very friendly y ellos hablan español!Parking: Parking in front and on side of restaurant“
“This is my favorite local restaurant. Everything I've tried has been fantastic. My favorite is the tequila salmon. As a pescatarian, there are a ton of options for me and I've never been disappointed.Vegetarian options: I've had the veggie tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, and chalupas. They were all great“
