I've been stopping by E Street Bagels for a long time. While it's true the service and food has vacillated widely, the past few weeks have been very good. They may have new owners or just a staff that seems to care. I usually get a pork roll egg & cheese. The bagel is on the smaller side but it's comparable to many shops in the area. The woman running the show is kind, greeting from the door, she repeats your order and thanks you. It's almost surprising these days to have someone not just mouth platitudes. My food was ready in about 3 minutes and I was on my way happy as can be. Give them another try, or don't be scared off by bad reviews; I've enjoyed the experience lately and think you will too.

Weak ! 8.00 for a small pork roll sandwich and only 1 egg ?? C'mon. This type of sandwich would never fly in north jersey.

Nice people. Quick to try to get your order done as fast as possible. PRICEY! New kids on the block, trying to make a go at just what we needed... Another bagel place! Not to put them down. They were very nice and polite and the place is clean. Very very clean. But PRICEY! I WISH THEM THE BEST OF LUCK. Unfortunately due to the priciness and the location this will not be my go-to bagel stop. I wish them all the best of luck!

8 dollars for a bagelThis is a good bagel not a great bagel. Didnt even come warm and bacon was cold. This was truly a disappointment for 8 dollars. 4 people standing in the kitchen not one hello they just look at you. I'll be sticking to hot bagels in belmar more welcoming and cheaper.

Everything bagel with Swiss and scrambled egg tasted like soap. Also we were given a skimpy bacon egg and cheese. We have had far more delicious bagels for half the price.

I wish they answered the phone more.(Following added on 8-24-23) Okay so there is one worker there specifically that regularly leaves the phone off the hook and makes it harder to order, even when no other customers are in the store.But KATHY IS GREAT. I genuinely started coming back to e street way more just because of Kathy. She is so nice and kind and in my opinion deserves a raise for how good she is. Her and the man I believe from CBA are the 2 people specifically that I like talking to in the morning while getting food. If Kathy is working or this man, the phone will be answered promptly and food is always ready within like 5 min for a few BEC's. Love it when Kathy is there though, she really is so nice.
The Best!! Breakfast or Lunch. This is my favorite spot.

Delicious and generously filled classic BEC on a bagel. The bagel was surprisingly good for this part of NJ and the coffee was excellent- for over $10 for this combo it better be! Service was super friendly and fast.
