This rating is strictly about the interaction with one staff member. We came here for a family dinner Saturday, 3/9. We requested a table and were explained it would be about an hour wait by the man in the white shirt, maybe a manager. We accepted. Not 30 seconds later he then changed it to 1.5 hour wait and we declined. He was very rude in his delivery, leading us to believe that he did not want to serve us at all.

Fully stocked bar and packed downstairs during a long weekend, Sat upstairs and service was fast and friendly. They had the usual hibachi fun shinanigans and the environment was great for little kids.I ordered the tuna hibachi and it was overcooked unfortunately. The chicken was cooked well and priced reasonably ($27).The sushi was good & apps too (tuna, fried squid).

Went there for a birthday. I heard it was fabulous so I guess I had high expectations. The food was good but average compared to other Asian fusion type restaurants I've experienced. I wouldn't choose to go back simply because there are so many other great options. Their lobster dumpling appetizer was so small you could barely see it on the plate. It mostly tasted like Chinese food take out. Again, not bad, just not memorable.

Sushi tasted fresh and prepared well.Miso soup was excellent, probably better than any other hibachi resturant I've been to before.The hibachi dinner was excellent. Fresh scallops, quality steak along with fresh veggies, rice, lo main, and egg.Our cook was fantastic and accommodated any requests "THANK YOU VERY MUCHHH!!!"Parking: Large parking lot, although we had dinner around 8 there was large amount of parking spaces

Terrible phone manners from person taking reservations. Food was tasteless and heavily seasoned. Service was poor. Atmosphere was unclean and smoky. Place has gotten long in the tooth and seen better days.

The food tasted amazing, unfortunately the service was terrible and everything we ordered, including the miso soup, came out cold.Extremely disappointed, this was only our second visit to Shogun and I was blown away the first time, everything was perfect. This time we went Thursday at 7pm normal dinner time, the restaurant was busy but not steady, but you could tell our whole section was not being taken care of, as the table next to us was loudly complaining the whole time. We were not checked on once either or appetizer or our entries came to the table, and after I finished the first bottle of wine I waved down our server to ask for the drink list again, interested in ordering another bottle, however she never came back, so I was never able to ordered the second bottle of wine I would have loved.We will probably not be returning, it’s very frustrating to watch 5 servers chatting and texting in the server ally when you are paying a good amount of money to attempt to enjoy a nice dinner.

The worst reservations experience I’ve ever had!! Made a dinner reservation a week ago to celebrate my daughter’s 16th birthday. My daughter tried to modify the reservation 2 hours prior to the time - we wanted to add to our party which they said they couldn’t accommodate but this somehow translated to their canceling our reservation all together. This we find out when we show up - absolutely no attempt was made to accommodate us. No apology for the mix up, no customer service AT ALL. Just a horrible condescending attitude. I will certainly NEVER be back. Zero stars ?
