Needed a sushi fix today and I’m glad I chose this place they literally had everything I wanted to settle my craving. I ended up getting their lunch special which you could get two rolls off a smaller menu for about $13, which also came with me so soup. I also ended up grabbing one of their specialty rolls which I will admit is a little on the pricier side… $18 a roll but the flavor and size of the roll did not disappoint. I’m obsessed with crispy rice tuna and the fact that they had it on their menu really pushed me to give this place five stars. Five solid pieces of crispy rice spicy tuna and a large chunk of avocado on top, drizzled with some spicy mayo and eel sauce… Chefs kiss. If I’m in the area I’ll definitely be returning for round two there’s a few more specialty rolls I’d like to try. They’ve got plenty of other options if sushi isn’t your thing from rice bowls to fried rice and array of appetizers and one of my favorite options Ramen. If you got a hankering for some sushi I highly suggest taking a stop in and giving it a try… I don’t think it will be disappointed in the slightest?

Mr. Pi's is an excellent sushi restaurant. I would particularly recommend it for its sashimi, the fruit themed special rolls that we (husband and I) have tried, and the fish-based appetizers. The sashimi is consistently fresh and the slices are appropriately sized. There are restaurants, particularly in New Brunswick, that will slice thinly and this ruins the experience both in terms of flavor and texture. If I had to make a critique, it would be that the slice varies between visits. I'll stress again though that it has never been too thin.We were very impressed with the mango special rolls. Specifically, we purchased the Dream roll. Sometimes fruit theme rolls can taste like a solid special roll where mango is an afterthought. The mango really tied in all of the flavors. Typically we get special rolls to try something new and don't get the same one twice but this one is likely to be a regular, so thank you. The rice cake was also a delicious touch on it. :) If I had to make any critique about the special rolls, it would be just that some of them (not the Dream Roll) can be unwieldy and prone to falling apart from plate to mouth. I get size for sake of spectacle, but it's a bummer when I'm mashing it together because it fell apart to put a trash pile (albeit a delicious one) into my mouth instead of a pretty one. But that is personal preference on my part. Finally, appetizers. The Hamachi Kama, Yellowtail Jalepeno, and Salmon Family are impressive standouts. I have no critique for the appetizers. I think I've had pretty much everything at this point and it's all been top notch. Yum!Service gets 5. Everyone is kind and nice. Again, no critique, even if you bent my arm over it. We've been out to eat here multiple times now and will keep coming back. It's become our local sushi go-to, unless we're feeling silly and want conveyor belt sushi. It's great for lunch, for bringing friends and family to, and perfect for date day or date night.❤️ ?

I had a rather interesting experience at Mr. Pi’s. I had a situation where my party was seated near the kitchen due to circumstances I do not know! OUTRAGEOUS!! Secondly, their spicy sausage and peppers roll is out of this world!! I loved it! As somebody whose stomach cannot tolerate spicy foods, I paid the price, but it was worth it! A must visit!

2/10 steamed pulled pork bun it was absolutely horrible. Both dry and salty. NotTo mention that my friend ordered the pork noodles and he did not like it. I tried it myself and it tasted and smelled like straight up raw pork, we lived in a farm we know the smell. When we returned it, the “chef” had the audacity to come out and argue with us about the topic. No. If we did not like it, we did not like it. She claimed “it was not your taste but it is not nasty”. Like??? We still plan on paying so why come out and argue.Horrible service, AND FOOD. We were also told to wait 30 min when it was empty.

Have been twice in the last two months and it has been excellent both times. The staff is incredibly friendly and fish is very fresh. Have gone for dinner on week nights both times and have not needed reservations. They DO have a full liquor license. They also have gluten free soy sauce available upon request. Would highly recommend!

Edit: Not a safe place for someone like me.Came here for the first time to an open mic, found it through a Google search/FB group. Host was loudly rude to me and asked me to leave because I was going to change the reverb settings on the mixer.I'm sitting here finishing my beer writing this, hoping to catch another open mic 1hr30mins out and salvage the night. Still thinking about what would have happened if he tried to fight me while I had my acoustic guitar on.
