I recently stopped by Joe's for the first time, although I've been around the area for over 16 years, mainly because I recently read an article about NJ's "best" hotdogs. On consecutive days I tried Hiram's hot dogs (in Fort Lee) and then Joe's Alpha Dogs in Washington. Both times I got the chili dogs, and both times I wasn't disappointed. Hiram's, if you don't know, were named the best hot dog in NJ. Well, I can attest that you don't need to drive all the up to Fort Lee to find hot dogs that will satisfy your craving. TBH...the Hiram dogs have a bit more snap to them when you bite into them, but aside from that, it's my opinion that the chili at Alpha Dogs was tastier, and the bun was thicker and fresher as well. There is absolutely no need for people in Northwestern NJ to hike all the way up to the GW Bridge for great hot dogs, when they are right here in our backyard. Also, the folks at Alpha Dogs couldn't be more friendly and willing to chat with you, and the place is kept very clean as well. I don't eat hot dogs on a regular basis, but now when I do I know where I'm going for them. Thanks Alpha Dogs for your excellent product...I'll be seeing you guys again for sure.

Nice spot and the owner is just a nice person. His spot is cute and the hot dogs are Hatsfield brand. It has a good flavor and is reasonably priced. Just based on the atmosphere and owner alone I would encourage people to stop in and grab a bite.

Went there today and ordered a Grand Poobah, a New Yorker and a Jersey Dog. I have to admit that was one of the most consitent and good meals i've had in a long time, everything at a very reasonable price. The chef was also very nice and pleasant giving the whole place an extra positive vibe. Will stop-by again in the future ?
After traveling an hour and a half for a MVC transaction my son and I decided to stop into Joes Alpha dogs. Service was friendly and fast. Hot dogs were delicious and the best Disco fries I have ever had. Also learned some fun hot dog jokes and took advantage of the human hot dog photo op. (After all it was a day trip for us) Truly worth the visit.

Had the loaded baked potato dog... life changing, it was so good. Owners were so nice, this is a great place to eat, wish I took pictures to post but I was eager to eat and forgot. Oh well, guess I’ll just have to go again!

This local shop is great. A small family business, they work to support the community and bring awareness to life raising a child on the spectrum. Recently they honored our local autism community raising funds and awareness. Their disco fries are amazing!
