I attended a friend's baby shower here about 6 months ago. Based on the food at the shower, I had been meaning to come back here for dinner. I came with my family this past weekend for Easter, and it was fantastic. Bill was our server. The service, the drinks, and the meal from beginning to end exceeded our expectations. As a foodie, I honestly didn't think the value met the quality. For example, I ordered the octopus appetizer and not only was the octopus under cooked and not charred, it also was a small part of the dish. My brother ordered the NY strip and it lacked flavor. He wanted some sauteed onions with the dish and received frizzled onions. My veal rack chop was simply ok. Personally I have been to a bunch of restaurants and nothing really stood out for me at Water and Wine. It was nice but at just under $900 for a table of six I would have thought it would be better.

This restaurant is located in a nice area of New Jersey. The interior has a soft, warm feel to it, thanks to its wood decor and construction, as well as its warm colored Edison style LED lighting. After being sat at our table, we were greeted by our server, Adam. Adam wasn't the most welcoming or friendly server I have ever had. And we all agreed that he was a little passive agressive. I started with a roasted beet salad and oysters. The oysters were great. The salad was just okay. The beets did not taste or appear raosted. I ordered the med rare NY Strip with mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe. The steak came out closer to medium and was very salty. The mashed potatoes were bland. The broccoli rabe was equally bland. I tried my wife's gnocchi and was disappointed with that as well. The gnocchi felt and tasted like nothing more than bite-sized boiled potatoes. Unfortunately, the food was overpriced for its quality, and server's service was sub-par. The hotess and valets were very nice. The facility itself is nice with a nice view overlooking the lake. I wish I had something better to say.

Food was nicely presented and very good, for the most part. I do think the restaurant needs some updating, considering that the prices are on the high side for a suburban restaurant. Decor is old.

Our first time here. What a surprise it was when we walked in the door and was greeted by a friendly hostess and even friendlier bartenders. Even though our table was ready, the hostess let us enjoy our cocktails at the bar with no stress. Once we entered the dining room, it was an amazing experience from the moment we sat down till we were done. The food, the service, the ambience was on par!! The only thing that was a little annoying was the waiters trying to fit behind me to serve the other table but this can easily be fixed by giving a little more separation Between tables but nothing that negated the rest of what is great about this place. Bravo!! Can't wait to come back!!

I liked how the tables were adequately spaced apart and you weren't sitting on top of the table next to you. First, service is impeccable. I was shocked at how fast the appetizers came out. I was never left with an empty water cup and the servers/ food runners were so attentive. Next, the food tasted incredible. For appetizers, I got the kale salad and balsamic fried Calamari. Entrees, I ordered the NY strip steak and the Zuppa di Pesce over pasta. Great portions and presentation.

Food was excellent as was the service, beautiful scenery. The only thing I will say is the restaurant even though an Italian restaurant didn't look like an Italian restaurant. The dining room is stale, and plain looking however that is the last thing I look at because I want good food period. This place has that.

I found this place at random and decided to take my partner for their birthday. The waiter off the bat was so attentive, sweet, and suggested so many amazing things. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful, even with the storm going on outside that night. Good if you want to splurge a bit, however, the prices weren't break the bank terrible either. Would definitely recommend.

We sat at a window table facing the water and just had a great time. It was calm there and the food was so unbelievably good. They have a wonderful wine list and good mocktails even. The desserts looked amazing, but we were too satisfied with our dinner to get any ourselvesParking: The parking was valet only, which seemed a little unnecessary as it took longer for the valet to get to the our car and drive it back to us as we waited in line than if we would've been able to just walk to our car

Wonderful view of the lake set the stage for a fantastic evening, The service was professional and competent. The food excellent, cooked to perfection with a great presentation. Our water and wine glasses were tended to in a timely manner. The staff was always checking our table to make sure our dining experience was top notch. From start to finish the W&W staff made us feel valued. There is no better feeling, than to leave a restaurant, knowing that our choice of Water and Wine, was the perfect decision.
