Maybe I should have ordered something simple, like a cheeseburger and fries. Instead, I ordered the Chicken Cutlet with Mozzarella Cheese and Broccoli Rabe, and it was really nasty. I thought maybe it was me so I had someone else try it, and they could not eat it either. I called and spoke with a woman who put me on hold for 10 min. after I gave her all the information needed to look the order up. I was expecting her to offer me a replacement order, or a refund, but instead I was told she would talk to the Owner and someone would call me back. Well it's 9:45 and I received no call back, which actually doesn't surprise me, because she was so quick to end the call with me that she never asked for my phone number. I had to tell her that she would need my number if someone was going to call back, and she laughed. I am not a picky eater and rarely complain when something is a little off. As long as it's edible, I will try to fix the seasoning myself, but this was just so bad, I had to say something, even if it was a waste of my time. Hopefully it will help the next person who thinks about ordering it.

Never went to Bensi before but we visited their new location on Berdan which is one block from our house. To say the most without being too long, it was excellent. I had clams and linguine in white sauce and my wife had grilled chicken and broccoli rabe. I must say the food was very good as was the service. Definitely will be back!

It's a new Bensi! New cook owner for the last 6 months. Food is fresh, made to order and simply right. Wait staff friendly and wanting to please. Especially loved the veal Parmigiana and the sole Francese. Decor needs an uplift, otherwise pleasant dining.

My only meal in Wayne. Excellent quality Italian food, they only use fresh garlic. I thought the Shrimp Scampi was good. The sauce made up for the Pre-cooked shrimp.

We have ordered trays from Bensi for a birthday dinner and today for Mother's Day. The food was excellent. We had veal, chicken penne vodka and salad. Delicious hot and well presented Highly recommend them and we will be back!
We are staying in Wayne at an extended stay hotel. Tonight we decided to order pizza, wings and pasta from Bensi. The prices were a little higher then normal but I assumed the food must be excellent. We spent $68. (Feeding a family of four) The pizza was SO TINY! The wings had absolutely no meat on them! The only thing that my family enjoyed was the penne with vodka and we got the "large" which once again was TINY! A huge waste of money. Truly disappointed.

The Veal Parmesan I had delivered was not edible. The veal was so tough I could not cut 50% of it with a knife. Use to serve higher quality food.

Had high hopes after reading all the reviews. Very disappointed!!! Here are the facts. Fried calamari. Poor quality calamari Cheap. Not very good. Caesar salad. Ok Ravioli. Ok Stuffed sole. Kinda good! Not a single piece of lemon Veal Francese. Terrible. Paper thin veal. No flavor. Chicken parmigiana. Terrible. Paper thin very hard chicken. Just gross Asked for container of grated cheese. None came. Asked for plastic knives and forks. None came. Pizza with diced tomatoes and garlic. Pizza tiny, personal size. Didn't tell me. Dough was raw, gross. Pizza was stone cold. No garlic. A total disgrace. Linguini with red clam sauce. Clam shells broken. Had to throw them away. Can't eat clams with broken shells. Sauce tasted odd. Lastly. They sell Brisk brand iced tea. The worst tasting iced tea on the market. Because it's not real brewed tea. It's made with powder. (see label). In this day and age of real good bottled ice tea this brand is a disgrace! Bottom line; a lot of money spent. Only a few bites of decent food. Skip this place!

Since the shutdown, I've ordered takeout from Bensi a couple of times. Each order has been delicious, using fresh ingredients to create extravagant flavor profiles. It's clear that they pay attention to detail and take pride in the food that they serve the community. I'm definitely looking forward to going there for a sit-down meal once restaurants are allowed to open back up.
