Sarku Japan is national chain of Japanese takeout restaurants, mostly in the northeast. I have over the years been to at least twenty of their locations, and never been disappointed. This Sarku Japan in Willowbrook Mall, Wayne, NJ, is yet another in a long line of this chain to meet my expectations. Located in food court of Willowbrook mall, this Sarku has sushi counter on one side and teriyaki grill on the other side. It’s very popular with shoppers, as I witnessed customers getting in line one after another.It was fun to watch them grill, the whole grill was covered by chicken, they prepared about 12 boxes at the same time.The taste of the food was excellent, standard Sarku quality. Chicken was tender, with yummy teriyaki sauce, soft rice and nicely cooked vegetables.
