The staff/ owners are very friendly and the food was amazing. I would strongly recommend you stop by and give the restaurant a try.

Friendliest staff. I always miss this place when I'm away. The food is honestly unparalleled. The pork shoulder is always a hit and the lo mien is always a staple.

Very authentic chinese taiwanese food - the minced pork noodles is not too oily and great tasting. The prices are on the higher side, 18 bucks for noodles and 20+ for entrees - the serving sizes are generous though.

We have been eating at Hot Wok for over a decade and the food is always exceptional. The staff is friendly and courteous and makes us feel like old friends. I have recommended them to many people.Beware though. We got take-out for the first time and found that none of the dozen Google hits for the restaurant had the current prices. They do not have their own website, so these other sites have information that was "current at the time." We experienced significant sticker shock when picking up our order (which as always, was delicious)

We had a very poor experience here. First, they require you to pay cash otherwise there is a purchase if you use card, but told you only after.Second, the college-aged male waiter was extremely disrespectful. He didn't like the way my brother disciplined his child, didn't understand the context of the situation, and decided lecture and stare down my brother in front of our family. My brother, who is a great father, honorable man, and pillar of the community, understandably felt insulted and told the kid to mind his business. The waiter continued to tell my brother to "show sympathy" while staring him down as he was leaving. My brother stood his ground and told the kid to mind his business again, and this repeated several times while the waiter continued to stare down my brother. The level of disrespect by the waiter and owner is stunning. They apparently thinks it is OK to kids to stare down men after after giving them "parental advice".It looks like they got my brother's review deleted, so now we will have to spread the word in the community that this business doesn't respect people, that they employ immature boys who disrespect their elders. Very unfortunate.

Love eating here! Very welcoming and the food is delicious. I was craving authentic Asian food and that's EXACTLY what I got it. Definitely recommend and will come back again.

We had lunch recently at this location for a large family gathering. With three children, you can imagine how difficult it could be for parents when they misbehave, and my husband was disciplining one of our children who was horsing around and bumped his head. I attended to my child and he was fine, and my husband asked him to “suck it up” as he began crying. The young male waiter began yelling at my husband, “He bumped his head. You need to show more empathy!” My husband was shocked but remained calm and asked the waiter to mind his own business. The young man who served us became agitated and threatening. He commanded my husband over and over to be empathetic as he stared down my husband like a manic. I watched in horror as this happened. The owner’s reply to my husband’s review made light of the situation and denied responsibility. Knowing they employ men who are aggressive and may be mentally unstable, I no longer feel safe at this location.

Unfortunately, at this location, my family had the absolute worst experience dinning out.

The young man server with the long hair was extremely unprofessional and rude, and need to learn what customer service means. Since he enjoys confrontation and fighting, he should join a MMA gym, and not take his aggression out on customers. I was out with a large family party and had three of my children there. My son was horsing around and hit his head, and I was disciplining him, asking him to suck it up. My wife and parents were attending to him. The 20-something server, a man of considerable size, decided to lecture me, scolding me to "be empathetic". I told him to mind his business and he proceeded to get aggressive in a physically threatening manner. He stormed away after yelling, and I repeated to him to mind his own business and he ran at me as I was walking away. I thought I was about to get attacked. Come to think of it, the entire time he was serving us, he was acting like a hot head with a loud, aggressive voice, like he was having a bad day. I called the restaurant to complain and the mother of the waiter answered (owner probably) and told me she saw everything and his son behaved inappropriately. We did not even adjust the tip, we only wanted the owner to be aware they have employed a hot head and need to fire him before he picks more fights with parents with crying children.

Hot Wok is THE BEST Chinese food restaurant in the area. Food is tasty, prices are reasonable, and service is wonderful. We moved from W. Windsor and miss it so much, that whenever we're back in town (from CA!) we make sure we stop in.
