This place just does everything incredibly well. Food service decor it’s just top shelf all the way. A must visit if you’re visiting and if you’re from the area you probably already know. As an added plus they support local school PTO’s too. ❤️??

Great food and drinks and a fun atmosphere! Their Akai tuna salad is epic! And I love that they have a whole cooked fish sushi roll section - was a life saver when I was pregnant and craving sushi!

Trendy spot with room for sushi improvement.Step into Akai Lounge, and you're instantly immersed in a trendy ambiance perfect for a night out with friends. I recently celebrated Galentine's with my girls here, and while the atmosphere and service was on point, the culinary experience left something to be desired. We kicked off our evening with inventive cocktails like the Spicy Pineapple Margarita, setting the tone for what we hoped would be an adventurous culinary journey. The Bonsai Tree and Truffled Edamame apps were decent but failed to stand out amidst Westfield's vibrant dining scene. Our sushi selections, while varied, didn't quite hit the mark. Though we ventured into unique territory with the Bassterd Roll featuring Chilean Sea bass, the execution fell short of expectations. The flavors lacked depth, leaving us craving a more memorable culinary experience. While Akai Lounge has the ambiance and vibe down pat, there's certainly room for improvement in their sushi offerings. With a bit of fine-tuning, this spot could easily become a standout destination in Westfield's culinary landscape.

Great vibe and quite busy on a Friday night. Reservation recommended if possible. We needed up sitting at the sushi bar which is a nice experience to watch the chefs prepare dishes. Fish was very fresh and delicious highly recommended.

Amazing music, amazing food, and amazing service. My server pablo was amazing. Sushi was fresh and on point, and the teriyaki rice was so good. Would Def recommend anyone who is a Asian cuisine fan to come here.

Very good sushi, great ambiance.....but they need either a) more staff or b) better coordinated staff. Frequently they'll have 1 bartender trying to cover a roughly 20 seat bar + table drinks + take out. The staff are all great, but a place aspiring to be 'high end' shouldn't have this many visibly stressed staff.

I've been dying to try this place for SO LONG, and am so happy we spontaneously popped in for dinner after work yesterday. The atmosphere is fun, the service was amazing, and the food was SO freaking good. For my drink - I got the spicy pineapple margarita and it was p-e-r-f-e-c-t. We got the spicy tuna pizza to start, and it's genuinely the best crispy rice/spicy tuna I've ever had in my life (and that's extremely high praise for me). Like, everyone needs to go here and order this dish. Then as my Main I got the Miso Teriyaki Skirt Steak. The sauce was delicious, and the portion was huge. They give you so much steak, and it was cooked perfectly. It comes with creamy wasabi mashed potatoes (yes, it's as good as it sounds) and some veggies that are perfect to dip in the teriyaki sauce. My sister got the sweet potato roll and said it was solid, and my brother ordered the Yaki udon noodles with chicken which I tried and it was delish. The sauce was light, and not too salty. Overall this place is definitely one of my new favs and I can't wait to go back as soon as I possibly can. It's so worth it!

Great spot with fresh seafood! I would've given 5 stars but the service wasn't great and it was very hard to track down our waiter at times. I'd go back because of the food, but I hope the service improves.
