Unique flavor bombs paired with quality ingredients like their custom hotdogs (fried in beef tallow!) and their deliciously juicy cheeseburgers! The fries (also fried in tallow) were perfectly crunchy and accompanied by the most delicious side sauces. There is always a monthly special, so you'll want to keep coming back to try all the new limited time items they're cooking up! The ambiance is super creative, with black & white sketches and outlines throughout the restaurant and their self-service kiosks make it super easy to order. Having to put your own mustard & relish on your dog using sealed packets isn’t my way of being severed. Very sloppy & too basic. Not my choice to go back.

Wish these guys the best, but not my kind of place. I didn’t like the hot dog or the burger very much, especially compared to my other favorite spots. (Hiram’s, Rutt’s Hut, Karl Ehmer’s,etc)And I don’t like ordering through a kiosk. I think it takes away from the experience of what a greasy hot dog place should be.

Really good simple burger and fries place. I liked the homemade BBQ sauce a lot. Next time I might ask if they can toast the bun though. It was cold and definitely the one weak point.

I grew up a Callahan's kid and am beyond happy to follow and support Dan wherever he opens up a new business. 1950's Originals did not disappoint. I live in Monmouth County and we were visiting the area today and HAD to stop in and finally give them a try. My son enjoyed a hot dog with the addition of onions and "somethin' else sauce'. And, of course, a YooHoo!Service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. We look forward to returning soon!

the Lynch Mob was there when i went and George Lynch and Don Dokken where not happy with the food, the bun on the burger was mushy, the burger was very greasy and the place smelled like raw sewage, common man if you charge high prices for food make it perfect, I dont mind expensive food but it must be worth the money. This place is as bad as a baby playing the drums

Better Hot dogs ? than 7 eleven, but no where near as good as Karl Ehmers, who are also on Broadway; but in the free parking section. The tiles design on the inside reminds me of a men's room ? All day, they play their news clips on repeat when the customers would clearly rather watch real TV.
