This was my first time at Piro's.It's a small place, not a lot of room between tables. We got a table within 5 minutes but it was downhill after that

The food here is wonderful, and so is the service. I love their angel hair pasta with marinara sauce, a great classic. It's always a fun night for our family when we visit Piro's on our summer vacation!

We eat here a couple of times a year and we have always been ahppy. Last time the food was very inconsistent. While mine was great, my wife and son's meals left a lot to be desired. Tasteless was how my wife described her meal and she likes everyting. Service was efficient and friendly

My husband I decided to try Piro's for the first time. The complimentary warm toasted bread was a nice touch and very tasty. Everything went downhill from there. We tried the bruschetta was about average although the vinegar flavor was a bit heavy and there was no parm cheese on it at all. My husband ordered the shrimp parm which was bland, not crispy at all, and extremely heavy on the breadcrumbs. I ordered the chicken parm which was hard to eat. The breadcrumbs were heavy and tasted awful and the chicken tasted like it was stored with raw veal given the heavy veal flavor to the chicken. To top off the bad experience, we had to pay per glass of soda (something we didn't know until we were given the bill). Towards the end of the meal we were delighted (being sarcastic) to have the smell of cigarettes coming though through the dining room from someone smoking either in the kitchen or just outside. Needless to say, after the $100+ dollar meal for two, we definitely won't be back.

I have been to this place a few times and definitely had good meals. The last few however have been gross. The dinner bread was served burnt on the outside and frozen in the center. The meatballs are all breading and tough, I bit into a firm piece of meat filled with actual bread crumbs that felt like chewing a cracker. The "Sunday gravy" meal is gross. The "braciol" was like steamed steakums in a tasteless flour paste. They charge for refills and the glass couldn't be filled higher with ice if you tried. All of the servers were slow to check tables but quick to remind you how long their day/night/ week have been. There are at least 1000 other restaurants in a 5 min walk serving better for less.

Ate at this establishment for the first time, five years ago and loved it. Since then, I have visited each year and each time experienced something unpleasant; kept waiting for 30+ minutes for a reservation, long waits for food, poor service, and unfriendly hostesses and servers. Though all of these are reasons enough not to come back, the quality of the food was always the reason for the return. Well, not tonight. Our party of four was seated and immediately our server arrived, complaining she was one of two working tonight. We order quickly and our salads and bread arrived. Our entrees arrived quickly thereafter: ravioli, veal milanese, baked eggplant and veal /baked eggplant. I had the eggplant. When I attempted to cut into it, it was hard as a rock, everywhere. There was no way I could eat this, nor did I want to. Luckily for the rest of my party, their food was palatable. I received the obligatory "do you want another," but no apology or anything for spoiling the meal with my family. Very disappointing. I will not be back. It was once a pretty decent restaurant however I cannot recommend Piro's to anyone today until they get their act together. God luck!

Must have been to Piro's 12-15 times over the past few years. Always make it a point to go there when I come down to the Jersey shore. Always great service and a great meal.

This is our “go to” place to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. Food is great. People are amazing.

Excellent, authentic style Italian food with some of the best service I’ve had recently at any restaurant. We had a party of 12 and the waiter was phenomenal. I’ve driven past this place 100x and finally stopped in. My only regret is that I hadn’t gone sooner. Definitely made my short list of places to go when down the shore.

I've been coming here for over 20 years, and it's just as good as the first time. Our family has loved coming to see Pat and Marie who run the joint for generations. The food is amazing, the wine selection is great. Make sure to make a reservation and check out the $10 wine bottle mondays. You cant beat the quality of food here.

Hostess unfriendly, took a 5 minutes to seat us even though restaurant was empty. Waitress didn't really seem like she wanted to be there. Asked what we wanted for dinner. I said. "can we order drinks first?" Brought our drinks and the dipping oil for our bread. After 5 minutes had to ask for our bread. Salad very good. entrees fair. I ordered the stuff flounder. Very dry and tried the sauce .that came on the side. It was broken. Sour and lumpy. My wife had shrimp parm. It was OK. WOW disappointed big time.
