Small hotel right across the street from the convention center. They do have a bar on first floor. Don't expect much.

Location of this hotel is AWESOME! It's out the door, across the street, and you are on the boardwalk and direct access to the beach. We booked directly through the hotel, not expedia, booking, etc. We got a "retro" room. Right away, we could not get into our room. A staff member came upstairs to assist us, and as it turns out, the door opens fine if you throw your shoulder into it when you want to get in. The room was Very small, as was the bathroom, and it was obvious that the toilet had not been cleaned and there was still a small amount of coffee in the coffee pot from one of the previous guests. Carpets are dirty, bed was comfy enough. The one thing I missed on the website is that the pool is open to the public. And a lot of public was there. Just any Joe Schmo off of the street can walk in and use the pool. Not the best of situations. The balcony gives a great ocean view, but it's about 2 ft wide, and when the air conditioner runs, it throws so much heat outside that it's uncomfortable. The patio chairs can fit comfortably sideways. I guess to summarize, make sure you don't get a "Retro" room, supposedly the newer rooms are nice, I didn't honestly see one firsthand tho so beware. Parking is limited but they did accomodate us. I always leave a tip for the cleaning person, but I didn't this time and I only felt a little guilty. I guess my tip to the cleaning person is "clean the toilet and the coffee pots too".

There was no microwave in the room as promised. The air condition filter was disgusting, I had to complain, remove it and have them clean it. It had not been cleaned in years. If you go to the ghetto Tiki Bar be aware that the bartender will pour you a double drink, if she ask you if you want it on the rocks. It is their way of charging you for two drinks in one. They also include their tip on the printed bill. You cannot tip whatever you like. Room looked like a throw back from the 70s and have never been updated or renovated. Over priced to say the least.

The rooms are upgraded, bed was comfy, mini fridge, and coffeemaker (with the flat pods). My only complaint would be a 10am check out which they should inform you when checking in. Bar downstairs is opened until 3am. Room nights were pricey but location was perfect. Front desk staff were very pleasant.

a great place, a great location and lots of night life right down stairs from the hotel. The remodeled room are excellent. You can walk the area at night and feel safe to do it. Some of the Rooms have a great view of the area during the day and at night .I've stay two years in a row during the Playero Festival on the beach. Will be back next year to do it al oer again.

Clean hotel, friendly staff, arrived early staff let us park car there while we walked boardwalk and called to let us check in early. Clean pool closes early at 8pm wish it'd stay open till at least 10pm during summer. Some updates done to bathroom and bedroom. Kitchen not updated. Small college dorm size fridge but worked for us. Would definitely stay here again. Across street from beach, boardwalk and convention center.

The Oceanic is a wonderful atmosphere and the hotel is constantly doing upgrades each off season to make a better experience. I stayed in one of the cottages again this year. The rooms look great and the accommodations were good. The staff was very pleasant to deal with and the rooms were clean.

The filthiest place I ever stayed. I booked through hotel.Combe cause of the reviews. I got 2 rooms for myself and granddaughter who brought her infant baby. The rooms are not what you see on line. They are old & dated, looks like a reformatory. The carpet was so dirty and stained like poop stains, dirty towels. Also ants in the bed and thousands of them in my bathroom. The day clerk women was rude and screamed in my face when I complained about the filthiness of the rooms. The only employee there that tried to help was a young kid on the night shift. They hotel allows smoking on the balcony’s and stairwells. I had an old corona bottle with cigarette butts filled on my balcony from previous guests. Do not stay here, they also allow everyone to use the pool as long as they are drinking at the bar. I can’t stress enough not to stay here. I am turning them into the board of health on Monday morning 7/17/2023. This place should be shutdown. I have pictures and videos of the filth and the red ants in my bed and bathroom. I have a video of the 100’s of ants in my bathroom. By this time I broke down an cried. Also where shoulder pads to protect your should when your pushing to get the door to open.

Newly remodeled and clean bathrooms, good view of Ocean from balcony, great central location, convenient parking, allowed golf cart parking and charging, pool was refreshing and the swim up tiki bar was the cherry ontop of our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful but not invasive. Plenty of towels were provided daily without asking. Overall, I highly reccomend this hotel and we look forward to our stay next year. To be fair, I will mention that the AC in the room could have definitely been cooler, the bathroom could have been a little larger, and it was a noisy area but that's to be expected given the location. These things were only slight inconveniences and nothing that would deter me from booking another stay here.

Great time as usual! Everything was clean and we were surprised our room had been remodeled. Staff is always friendly and attentive. I have been visiting the Oceanic for at least 20 years and have never stayed anywhere else since!

Room was beautifully updated. Staff was friendly & accommodating. Pool and tiki bar are nice. Housekeeping came by to replace towels. I was able to park in the lot for the duration of our stay. Room was a bit tight but fine for 2 of us.

Stayed in a cottage. The beds were very comfy, the room was clean. Housekeeping came around everyday to see if we needed anything. Check in was very simple as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Definitely mixed in my review for this hotel. Good but lacking. I was dropping off a friend that was staying here for work for 5 days. The staff at the desk was Very polite. 1/2 the hotel is still being gutted and renovated to get ready for the season opening. Not an issue. When I first walked in the room. I thought. Oh, Not so bad and the entire room/ bath looked newly remodeled. Had a single queen just like the cover photo. The room and bath looked exactly like the photos and was CLEAN. No carpet, but new floors. I had bags I was helping my friend bring in and started to notice stuff. It's like a BASIC dorm room with a bed in a room. There was a fridge, small Kurig like coffee pot, and a couple open shelves, tiny space to hang a few items, iron on a shelf and small safe bolted to one of the shelves. There are two bedside shelves used as a nightstand and did have USB and a plug. There wasn't really a place to put bags or unpack other than on the bed. An additional narrow shelf under the wall mounted tv. No phone to call the front desk or for a wake up call, no additional desk space or chair. No microwave or Clock. A Bed in a room. The bathroom I will say was NICE and spacious. All NEW and modern. The staff did a great job installing this new bathroom and it showed. The shower had nice pressure, large sink and glass shower doors. They have basic towels, but if you want a large towel I would suggest bringing your own. There is daily room service if needed. My friend said the BED was firm but comfortable. He did get a parking pass, but the lot is VERY tiny. He went on a late run to WAWA for a sandwich and had to park in the overflow lot when he returned which is about 2-3 blocks away. He has trouble walking so this was a bit inconvenient. Note..there were only 5 rooms booked for this off season weekend. All the spaces AT the hotel I think were being used by construction and staff. Overall, it's a beach hotel. A Bed in a room with a nice bathroom. Maybe my expectations were a little high from traveling in IHG hotels and staying many many times in other Wildwood hotels. Usually there is a phone and microwave? I get it's 2023 and most people have cell phones, but still. PLUSSES*it is across from convention center*staff was polite*rooms was newly renovated*bathroom was nice** good shower w/ gel/shampoo/wash*upgraded sensor door keys*elevator access on one side of bldgLACKING*phone *microwave *desk *chair*ample onsite parkingI don't want to sound too negative because it just "Wildwood". I'm only comparing my hotel experiences I've had at other Wildwood hotels in the same vicinity. Especially being a newly renovated hotel. If you just need an overnight room with a bed and nice bathroom, this will do. If you plan a longer stay, you may want to check out other options. There is a small pool with their famous "TIKI BAR". This was not open yet being pre-season but could be nice.
