I give it a four because the food is pretty good. At least the empanadas are yet to try the rice and the beans and the other stuff. The problem is the guy was very rude when I was there one time haven’t been there in a while since, but I do plan on going back to try it out one more time. Customer service is supposed to be courteous that’s how you get more customers not by being rude.??‍♀️

This is exactly what one should expect from an "empanada shop." The place was clean, the service was great, and the food was phenomenal. Nelson, the owner, was a down-to-earth guy too. I 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone with a craving for authentic empanadas.

Our hospital is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and we wanted to bring some empanadas to share with the staff. We ordered 600 empanadas. The service was amazing, the owner helped me put everything in the car and was super grateful and even gave us some empanadas on the house. The empanadas were a total hit!! Everyone was asking where we bought them because they wanted to go! Definitely will repeat it!!

We ordered The Fiesta, spinach/cheese, guava/cheese and apple empanadas. We loved them all however looking forward to more vegetarian & pescatarian options being added to the menu. When we did have an issue it was addressed and immediately handled. This was our first time but def not our last time eating here. Especially to try the the Tres Leches cake which was sold out when we went.Vegetarian options: I loved the Fiesta and .y wife loved the Empanada of the day which 2as shrimp & garlic. These both were stuffed to the max with goodnessDietary restrictions: We are just starting our pescatarian & vegetarian journeys so having choices really helped. I would like more veggies and less rice in the the Fiesta but it's still good!

I'm so sad to write this review, I've been coming here for my kids who in the beginning 4 years ago loved this place, have had several issues since, the owner is nice but absent allowing the inmates to run her place, she asked me to notify her if ever had any issues but it seems like every time I go there's an issue, no Cuban sandwich one day or no rice and beans another day, no tostones or no more beef empanadas, today was the last time I will ever return as the employees didn't even offer to bag my drinks, and the empanadas were so stiff and cold they tasted old ,I don't feel I should have to call the owner to tell her since I have my own job and I'm just looking to feed my kids with no stress, I love it's so close to where we live but anything else is just not worth it, sorry to say after more than 4 years today is the last time we will ever return, this place needs management really bad.

I hate to say this but the customer service is the worst. I called multiple times and left a message for the owner to call me back because of a catering order they messed up. I still have yet to hear from the owner.

great spot for unique empanadas. every item is about $4. bbq chicken is packed, but kinda dry. add more sauce.guava and cheese was perfect.chicken and cheese was good, but id like more cheese.we came at the end of the night and they only had a few options left, but we liked what we got. they seem to have good deals on getting2 and a drink or 3 and a drink. id come back for the shrimp n garlic.

We have been going to the Empanada shop for several years. My last visit was a let down. I had not been here for a bit and was looking forward to grabbing some empanadas and rice and beans to take out for a quick dinner. Well that turned out not to be the case. First they did not have the Sausage and pepper empandas. Or the Shrimp empanadas. OK no big deal there's other options. So I ordered 4 other varities. I ordered rice and bean sides and was shocked when she told me they did not have either. What? 6 PM on a Saturday night and no rice and no beans? Why? How? Supply chain shortages? I ran several kitchens in restaurants for 15 years and sometimes when vendors shorted our orders we bit the bullet and went to the "grocery store" to purchase the ingredients so we had the menu items for our customers. Not great for food cost, but customer satisfaction is key here? Is it not?All I got in response to "why?" was a shrug. I guess they have become one of the ever growing "you'll get what we have" establishments that have grown in numbers since the pandemic. Then at least there was a reason to be out of your main menu items. Newsflash the pandemic is over and that is no longer an excuse.

Beef & cheese is great. The Guava & cheese is the best that is not found anywhere else.

One of the best empanadas I've had in a while, I live in Paterson where you can buy a wide varieties of empanadas from different countries but none are as good as this place. I had 1 of each: beef, chicken and cheese. All 3 were very good, service was great, price was right, friendly staff that actually greets you lol, def worth the visit, don't tell anyone but they have the pink sauce too!!!
