This is by far the best place I have ever eaten, I brought some friends from the other side of the island and we were all so impressed. It seems to be family owned as they refer to the man in the kitchen as pop. The lady that served us was simply amazing and was like family. The food was fresh, home cooked and delicious. My wife and I visited Madrock Cafe for the first time. It is a bit of a drive to get there,but very much worth the trip. The atmosphere there is really homey. We were welcomed warmly and served promptly. Everyone there was in bay fashion very friendly. The restaurant is accessible. The food was great. Best touton I had in a long time. The baked beans were almost as good as my own ?. Fish cakes were huge and delicious. Loved their touton. My wife had the western sandwich. She really enjoyed it. Overall a+++ experience. The lady who served us recommended a drive just a little further to see an amazing view. Was not disappointed. Highly recommend the trip to this restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp on the front of the building.

Fantastic service, lovely atmosphere, and delicious food.My girlfriend and I stopped by on our way to Mad Rock and it was a wonderful experience. The pea soup I had was gluten free (celiacs) and the toutons my girlfriend ate were crispy outside and chewy inside, and all of it was delightful.If you are in the area and want a taste of traditional Newfoundland food then I highly recommend stopping by.

Very charming hidden treasure in Bay Roberts. One minor detail I found missing at breakfast was a selection of marmalade, jams or peanut butter among the condiments for my toast. Otherwise it was an excellent experience and I wound it recommend it as a place to eat when in the Bay Roberts area.
