Food was very good. Not mind blowing great, but certainly a quality above average.Service was average. The server did have a long conversation with a table, which created a long wait for a refill, but that may have been the table not letting her leave. So my 3 stars on that could be a much better experience for you, as that other table certainly did have a better service experience. She was very friendly and prompt at all other times. The only reason she's getting 3 stars is waiting 10+ minutes to get her attention away from that conversation.One of the best views in the province! The atmosphere is absolutely perfect. Very clean and well decorated.I had a good time and will return.

The restaurant is beautiful with beautiful details everywhere. There's a live band that sometimes entertains at the restaurant. There's 2 decks open during the warmer months. There's merchandise available.During my experience, the service was friendly and quick. The food and beverage tasted okay.Parking: Limited parking spaces. Spaces not large enough for vehicles.Kid-friendliness: No family side. If you don't mind having your children around adults drinking and having adult conversations, it's fine. Kid friendly food available.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp. Wheelchair accessible washrooms.

The family went out for dinner.. We booked in advance which was a good decision as the place was full.There was a little bit of confusion where we were to be seated but it was resolved immediately.. All our meals were excellent.. Serving size was also excellent. Beautiful views of Brigus Harbor. Most likely going to become one of our regular spots as our current regular spot has been cutting alot of corners on food quality and service. Unfortunately the prices went up.. We don't mind paying if the product and atmosphere is there and the riseover has it in spades.. Good job keep it up..

We happened to stumble upon this hidden gem today in Brigus. What a fabulous spot.. the view is breathtaking! They have 2 separate outside patios overlooking the ocean/boats in the harbour. The food was delicious and the staff was excellent. They also had live music when we visited Friday afternoon around 2-3pm which was a great added touch!! I will definitely visit again!

Ate at the Riseover today with friends. We all had fish....it was just ok...lotsa batter soaked in grease....did not feel good after. Server Jillian was just great. So friendly and willing to chat it up and have a laugh. Thank you Jillian.....view was 5* that's for sure.....would return indeed but no fish for this group.....

By far the slowest service we received while visiting NFL. Tables that ordered after us were finished eating before we received our food. The live music was a great idea but it was way too load, you could not have a conversation at your table if you tried.

Can’t comment on food because we Got turned away at 3:30 said we wouldn’t get served because they had a big reservation coming in a hour. Very disappointed in a newly opened restaurant looking for business. Disappointed
We had fresh cod .Cod and fries over cooked.Cod dry and almost burnt fries greasey.Waited over an hour for our food.Was very disappointed.

Highly Recommend checking out The Riseover - we were “home” to Newfoundland for a short visit from the “mainland”Food portions and service were both great - there was live music - the owner was there, visiting tables & telling stories as if you just walked into his home (something you don’t get anywhere else in the word and we loved every minute of it)We will be back on our next trip to the rock!

Worst dining experience in a very long time. Took 1 hour and 30 minutes to get some appetizers. The wings were plain like something you’d buy at the grocery store (no dry spice like requested), the seafood chowder had a few pieces of potato and only had 3 mussels (no scallops, shrimp, clams, celery, or green onion as the menu states - it was like coloured water). The onion rings and fish cakes were ok. Will not be going back.

Amazing harbour views and lovely quaint atmosphere make this restaurant an absolute gem. The Newfie fishcakes were a great starter on a cold day and the one piece fish and chips was so big I couldn't finish it all! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a relaxing meal and great value!
