So I suggested Irving's Big Stop as our first meal when we landed in Deer Lake from the Westcoast. Some were hesitant.The meal turned out to be one of the best meals we had in Nfld. The server was very fast and efficient with our larger group. The orders came as "ordered". All the food dishes were delicious. One can't beat their breakfasts and the coconut cream pie was a game winner. The extended family was converted. Don't let the gas station restaurant combo throw you off. We even picked up a case of Quidi Vidi Iceberg for our continuing travels.Highly recommend if you are in Deer Lake.“
