I came here with my wife on a very cold night for some hot ramen. The restaurant was so cold that I might as well stayed outside. We asked the staff to increase the temperature and they said there was nothing they could do. We waited for a long time for the ramen and when it finally came out it was great. Lots of toppings and big portions, however we found it to be quite inconsistent. One dishes’ meat was too sweet while the other one was good, despite both being pork belly.Overall not the best place, price was expensive, but would work to fix the craving.

Very good ramen, but for high price. Drinks in particular are expensive. Space feels a little awkward and was cold when we went, needing to keep our coats on while we dined. Overall worth the visit if you like ramen.

This was my first time visiting, I had the fried chicken curry bowl. Delicious. Portion was large and filling. I'll be back.

Over the last 2.5 years I’ve tried all of their main broths - Miso, Shoyu, Tantanmen, and Dirty shrimp. Initially, they were pretty good; however, recently all of them have been bland and lacking in flavour. It has been a constant let down in the past year. Ironically, as their quality of ramen constantly decreased, their prices continuously increased, and it gets harder and harder to justify the price of their unappetizing ramen. Noodle Nami on Rowan St. has arguably better ramen for ~$4-5 less. The one good thing Bad Bones has going for them are their side dishes - they are a great bang for your buck. All in all, if you’ve ever had half-decent ramen in another city, I’d recommend you skip out on Bad Bones for your ramen cravings in St. John’s.

Tried the pork belly and dirty shrimp with fried pickles and they tasted absolutely amazing!

We were served very quickly and the ramen was great. The pork options are our favourite.

Service and atmosphere of our dine in experience was great, server was friendly. Large servings. However the Dirty Shrimp ramen fell extremely short for me, the broth was too bland for my taste and needed more seasoning. The broth of the Chicken Shoyu was much better and enhanced like ramen unlike the Dirty Shrimp. Gyozas were also really nice.

Best bowl of ramen I've ever had. This was one of the highlights of our trip! The restaurant is very cute, nicely styled and our waiter was both sweet but also helpful and attentive! Helped recommend a few options to us and made sure water glasses were topped up, checked in on us, etc.The edamame were out of this world. They're tossed with roasted sesame and garlic and we could have eaten 4 bowls. Come out quick too if you're hungry! We had a few of their cocktails as well which did not disappoint! For ramen as good as it is you don't always expect excellent cocktails, but they were tasty and unique. The ramen itself, sublime. We had the chicken miso and pork belly, and they were not only HUGE bowls, but also filled with veggies, lots of broth, and so much of the protein, too.Spoke with the kitchen as well to tell them how amazing their food is, very kind and sweet team all around!

The fresh ramen meat veggies and broth are amazing. I got the chicken misu with an egg added. It was the best ramen I’ve ever had! Must try.

Recently went to you restaurant for my wife’s Birthday Dinner. While we enjoyed the food, the service was terrible and it’s so cold in your dining room it just made the whole dining experience terrible. We had to sit there with our coats on it was that cold in your restaurant. There was a space heater by the door as we came in which didn’t appear to be on, if it was on it certainly didn’t put off enough heat to heat the dining room. I would hate to see what it’s like in there in the middle of the winter! Also, we ordered 2 appetizers before our main course. One came out and the second did t arrive for over 10 minutes later. Maybe you should teach the cooks about timing with the food!

Updating my review from 2 years ago. I am sad to say that I ate here again and the soup was burnt. It was awful. We had another soup that was mediocre at best. It's too bad that this place has really declined in quality.2 years ago: Really enjoyed the atmosphere and excellent service at bad bones. The food was great, a personal preference for me would have been if the coleslaw had a little more zing to it. I like the added touch of a deck of playing cards on the table. That was excellent to keep my 9 year old entertained

Nice place to eat. Very accomodating. Busy but not crowded. The fried chicken on the chicken curry ramen was just perfectly done and was a delight.
