I ordered Cod Bites and fries, to go. Food was ready in 10 minutes. I really appreciate the packaging! Brown paper to soak up any extra grease and the food didn't sweat! Cooked fabulously, fish still moist and batter crunchy. Homade fries double dropped to a dark golden finish. ( my personal preference - I prefer a thinner batter. However, it was enjoyable )

The Torbay location has quickly become one of our favorite Ches's locations in the city. Getting a table is usually no problem. The food has been consistently good, and we enjoy the service and personality of the service staff. We'll worth a try.

Overall the food was great and service not bad. Wasn't checked on throughout meal and had to take left overs up to counter to get a take out box. This could of been a one off. Visit location about twice a year where from out of town but definitely recommend.

Food was cooked fresh, it was hot but like most places now kinda pricy. Fries were tough fish was ok but not fantastic. Place is big and clean enough but it's no view other than a parking lot. Not much of a vibe. Sever was awesome 10/10 he was super nice and friendly. All in all it was pretty decent but better deals fries that are not tough and half dried out would be a good start. Like I said it was pretty good but im only rating them tough as to make them better.

Was so impressed with this place! First time here while visiting St. John's. The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. The fries were great and not overly salty. Our dinner was perfect and the staff were lovely! Will drop by again anytime I'm in town!

This is a small take out and eat-in diner style. It cooks the best fish & chips on the island, that I've had. All the fish is fresh daily. Prices are reasonable. Service is friendly and reasonably fast.
