I checked into the Jag hotel and had the occasion to have brunch and dinner. The atmosphere and service are very good but the food is bland. I had the moose masala and it was dry, the moose was on the tough side and it lacked seasoning. For dinner I had the arancini and the braised lamb shank. The arancini was the best part. It was crispy and the cheese was melted but it lacked seasoning. The lamb shank and mashed potatoes were very disappointing. The lamp was tender but was completely flavorless and the mashed potatoes seemed watery instead of creamy. At $44 dollars, I feel a bit ripped off. Come for the music and decor, not the food.

Our meal was amazing. We all had the moose masala. The moose was tender, veggies crunchy and the rice was the perfect spice. I'd definitely recommend. Service was good and food was served timely. We also had two babies who slept through the whole thing☺️

One of my favourite restaurants in St. John's right now. I did find the music just a touch too loud on this night but the meal was fabulous and the service excellent. I love how spacious it is and the comfortable decor.

I am a regular patron of Exile as well as the Jag Hotel. Have NEVER been disappointed with any meal!! This evening I had the steak and eggs which were cooked to perfection and delicious!! The cocktails are superb and I highly recommend the “bad moon rising” - an elevated espresso martini. DIVINE!!

The server, William BUTLER, totally added to our evening .He was friendly ,courteous ,on time but never in your face .The food was great and the ambiance and surroundings are not to be matched in St. John's.

Danielle was very professional, hospitable, energetic,happy & very friendly and seemed to enjoy her work, Overall Danielle was an A ++ & made our evening. Money Value of the evening was a 7.5 but understand why prices were a little high.Boutique hotel & downtown, Good embience, Food had a taste to it& met the evening uniqueness. But Danielle made the evening more enjoyable than just a regular nite out.
Awesome , as always!! The food is great , but it's the ambiance, it's the friendly and professional staff, from the smiling cheerful doorman to our beautiful servers , it's the music , the total relaxing feel , it's all part of why we come back every single week!

Great food. Table was not set when we were seated, they partially set it when we got there. Received our coffee was waiting min mugs for it then had to Ask for mugs sometime after, then had to ask for spoons, waited quite a while on sweetener. Other wise food was great. It was not that busy so not sure why we had these little issues..maybe server was knew. Thank you

Loved my experience at this restaurant! Loved the decor and the supper comfy chairs! Their drinks options are all very delicious!The food was also very good and a lot of options to choose from.Would definitely go again when I'm back in the city.

Went for New Year's Day brunch, party of 4. One of us has an allergy and the menu clearly indicated allergens for every item - this is so great and made the individual feel at ease. Our server was excellent and the food was delicious. Will definitely be going back, thank you.
New Years Eve so didn't expect the same quality food as it was a set menu, however, really disappointed. Portions were very small & our server was more interested with individuals sat at the bar than our table. Drinks were good but overall a disappointing experience
