Food was cold One meal was very spicy but wasn't labelled spicy on the menu and the person couldn't eat it. One meal was so bland to the point of hardly any taste. Both steaks were cold. Not even warm. The appetizer was 2 scallops and a scallop size piece of pork there fore no sharing with the table of 4. The table next to us was extremely loud and inebriated. Not the restaurants fault, I understand that part. Bar menu was very limited and didn't have basic drink options.
Not my 1st time eating here .Sadly hit or miss .Burger is the best . Pastas fall flat . Chef inspired dishes ?where is that rich flavour .I had the special for the night a pappardelle pasta with snow crab.Just ok !Where was the crab?

Outstanding evening. Good was divine! Can't wait to go back! The spa gin cocktail was fantastic, the salad was delicious, the pasta carbonara was wonderful! Cannot wait to return!

We had a wonderful, relaxed meal- everything was delicious, elevated without being snobby and I appreciated the local flavours and fresh caught fish. The highlight was the snow crab appetizer that was a heaping plate of snow crab caught fresh in the morning- super yummy. Excellent!
Absolutely fabulous night! I was there with a friend to celebrate her birthday. The staff caught wind of that and made the night even more special. The service, food, and wine were all amazing. Tracey and her staff are just awesome! And her love of wine plus her love of sharing her knowledge about wine makes everything extra special. Thank-you!

We enjoyed the Chef's tasting last evening at the Merchant Tavern, April 24/24, absolutely delicious beginning to end. Compliments Chef! Our server, Bridgette, was attentive and accommodating. The Merchant met all our expectations for a fine dining experience.
We love this restaurant and go there few times a months. Food is perfect, service is great, and ambiance is one of a kind! We used to have a rib eye steak in there, but unfortunately it wasn't in their last night's menu. I hope they bring it back soon because it was one of the most delicious steaks that we've ever had in our lives!
Great meal options for an evening out. Nice to try something different and the rabbit with pasta was delicious, needed some bread to do up the gravy. Tasty fresh garden salad and a perfect strawberry roulade for dessert.

They give a new meaning to the concept of a breakfast sandwich. Brioche bread with a perfect omelet, super thin ham topped with melted cheese, and a delightful crisp on the bread. Looking forward to the next time
Loved the food specially the burger. Short rib was really good and a must try. Food, service and the atmosphere all were pretty good. Food is little more expensive than other neighbouring restaurant. Menu for brunch has less options but all the items we tried were pretty good. Its better to get a reservation as it is pretty busy all the time

Merchant went above and beyond! The service was incredible! You can tell a good restaurant when it's always busy! The staff went out of their way to give us an incredible experience! The food was nothing short of amazing! Our appetizers were incredible but i have to say the Chicken Supreme I had as my main.... it was a ratatouille food critic moment. Still thinking about the sauce and veggies that accompanied it. Can't wait to go back!
