I went here for dinner on my last night of a recent trip to Newfoundland. The food and service were fantastic! I was absolutely delighted with the number of gluten-free options. My daughter is vegetarian, and she was very pleased with her options as well. And of course the carnivore of the group enjoyed their food immensely!

This review is for the airport location, it was the worst service I have ever had by a wait staff. The lady was the rudest person I have encountered and should obviously not be working in the service industry. I’ve eaten at this location a few times. The food is not good, and have been served undercooked food. It’s too bad that this is what travelers to the beautiful province experience. I have tried on multiple occasions to contact management about the experience and they are inaccessible. As a business, I would want to know the issues and have a way for customers to contact me, not instruct staff to take messages and pass them on or never give out a phone number for their office.

The old building pub atmosphere of the Yellowbelly is nice except for the mice running around the dining room. Our food took a while to be served but it all looked appealing and was pretty good for pub food. Unfortunately though it was hard to enjoy the meal while seeing mice running around in the dining room thinking that they were also probably in the kitchen. Our server was friendly and did apologize for how long our food took to come out. Due to the mice we will not return.

We arrived after the lunch hour on a rainy day and Yellow Belly hit the spot. Get the fish n chips and sample the beers. You can't go wrong.

Went here after a free walking tour of St John's (Amber w Come from Away) & she suggested this brewery for lunch. It was pretty crowded on a Saturday w all us cruisers in town, but we managed to snag a table on the sunny patio. Beer was really good & so was the food, especially the fish & chips. Nice server too

I ordered salad added chicken for 9.00 not worth it. Better restaurants downtown. Salad had lettuce, cranberries and carrot. 14.00

Excellent food and service in a nice part of the downtown core. Casual environment yet very clean.

Well, had to do it! Poutine and another Canadian brewery. Excellent service, beer and food. So impressed with kind people in our visit, from hostess who went through an extra effort to seat us outside to our waitress (McKenzie) who warned a customer that he may have mistakenly tipped too much! Everyone had smiles and I know it was the end of long day.

Food and service was terrible. It took at least 20 min for some of us to get drinks. Pop came for 1 child and the other 2 had to wait for theirs another 20 mins. Pizza came for 1 child yet the other adults had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for their food which included pizza. Staff stood around and I cleaned up plates, glasses etc from our table. We complained to the manager and she apologized but that was about it. You would think she would comp us for some of our meals. I was very disappointed because we came here 7 yrs ago for our 50th birthdays and it was delicious! Would not recommend this restaurant.

Excellent staff and selection of brews. Nachos were awesome. Genuine feel of St Johns in a great location at the start of the strip

Wexford Wheat ale was good. Food was decent bar food. Atmosphere was okay. It was not very clean. We were sat at a dirty table and the hostess used a dirty cloth to give the table a swipe. The floors etc. were not clean and neither were the bathrooms.

Gayle and I recently visited the Yellow Belly Brewery for a late Sunday lunch after a long drive back from the Trinity Peninsula. After the last few days at Dildo and Port Rexton, why not another Brew Pub/Public House? The Yellow Belly Brewery building is (located at the junction of George and Water) consists of distinctive multi-story stone and masonry architecture. Apparently, the building survived the Great John's Fire of 1892 and maybe brings forth historical bustling street images of Irish immigrants and others integral to Newfoundland history. Gayle and I were lucky to get in during a relatively busy time. Our seating was comfortable and welcoming, accented by a very attentive and friendly waiter. The menu features wood-fired pizzas, burgers, seafood, and more. And of course were were here for the beer too. Gayle went for the tasting selection, while I ordered a wee pint. Our beers were really good, with no clinkers in the bunch. I really enjoyed my YellowBelly Burger (with Blue Cheese), but skipped the fries in favor of a salad. Gayle did one better and ordered the Fresh Steamed Newfoundland Mussels. Everything was delicious. From here it was on to Christian's Pub to be "screeched in"......

Heard great things about the Brewery prior to going to Newfoundland, and it lived up to our expectations. Beer and food was great, but what solidified the stay for us was Harry's service. It seemed like he was serving and waiting on every table on the first floor while we were there --- but we never felt as if we had to wait on anything. Goes without saying --- give that man a raise!

A great meal of fish and chips with malt vinegar. Loved the atmosphere (upstairs) and the music was perfect ….both the volume and the tracks played. Friendly and fast service too.
