This place was really good when it opened, but it's going downhill now. Potato salad and BBQ sauce tasted like it came out of a jar, brisket dry and unappealing. Shame- this town could use a good BBQ, but unfortunately it doesn't look like this is it.

Small portions and not a great system to pick up food...someone grabbed our drinks even though employee knew they weren't his. One of us got 3 meat thinking it would be 3 servings and was a lot more...nope just a couple bites of 3 meats. Fake cheese on Mac and cheese also. I don't eat out much and wanted homemade. We had to go eat again soon after since portions are small.

I have to say I was utterly disappointed at this barbecue place. Lack of any real character and the ribs and sausage were cold. Out of all the barbecue places I have ever been to, this was the worst of the barbecue place. I really hate to be that direction, but I’ve had Friends and family cook way better than this.

Not a huge fan of the sour dough buns, but the pulled pork sandwich overall was pretty good, the mac n cheese was a little basic, but good.

The ribs had very little meat on them. I would not order again. Website said $15 in restaurant $16. Pulled pork & brisket combo was fair. Tables were not clean. Small plastic forks didn't work.

Came here on the way back to El Paso.A little barbecue joint in Alamogordo, the environment is nice and neat, food is fine.Brisket moist was ok, while their Pork Ribs are fat and juicy, my friend said that it's the best he had so far, and I would agree.

The food is good. We have eaten there twice. Both times, I had the 1 meat plate. I ordered sausage, and there was a big difference in the amount of meat received both times. The first time, 2 guys were working, and I received a nice portion of sausage. This past Sunday, there were 2 ladies working, and I only received about half the sausage I got on our first visit. Sad cause food is good.

So much potential. Ordered 3 meals: pulled pork, ribs, sausage and brisket. 2x 2-meat, 1x 3 meat. Placed online order which was one of the best things about this place. On arriving at 5:30pm (not late in the evening, on a Saturday) they informed me that they were out of ribs and pulled pork. Only have brisket (chopped and sliced) and sausage. No other meats. So we all had brisket. It was ok. Nothing extraordinary. But the 2-meat meals had more meat than the 3 meat meal with less than a hot dog worth of sausage in there too. Banana pudding sounded great but was bland, about 1/3 whipped cream. Such an easy opportunity. Also the rolls were cheap store-bought. Ok but prob cost more than making fresh cornbread.

This is by far the best barbecue in New Mexico . I was in line behind a couple of families from Texas. They said they always come through Alamogordo to head for the mountains and the one reason they stop in Alamogordo is for Fatwood Barbecue.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Parking: Parking is very convenientKid-friendliness: Very family friendly

The brisket was really good. The sauce was good. I don't usually like potato salad other than my wife's. Their potato salad was really good. 2nd to my wife's.

I don't know if this was a one-off type of deal or what, but my recent visit (6/16/23) leads me to believe that I will probably not be returning. I ordered a pint of cole-slaw and two orders of banana pudding (we were going to make fish tacos with the coleslaw). First, that order came to over $19...which seems a bit crazy, but I just wanted to get home so I paid and left. The coleslaw was $8 for pint. When I got home and opened the container I was amazed...amount of coleslaw I got could never qualify as a pint...maybe a 1/2 pint if I'm feeling generous. Then, after dinner I opened one of my banana puddings. There were a total of three slices of banana and no 'Nilla wafers. I get times are difficult and prices are high, but you don't engender loyalty with customers by screwing them over.

It’s a fast food restaurant. I ordered the Tulie Hog sandwich. I didn’t like it, nor the barbecue sauce. My husband ordered the Brisket & Mac sandwich which he thought was good.

My brisquit was exceptional! Baked beans, delicious, Cole slawgood. But I didn't get it? They asked me here or to go, I said here, and it came in closed to go container? And my bottle root beer was warm. I would go back again. Not the Styrofoam. More ice on drinks or something different.

Not bad, but...Bland half-pound pulled pork. No seasoning or flavor.Baby potatoes not available, so it was a dry, oddly covered resemblance of a potato, but not impressed.Really wanted to like this Local place!
