The Bourbon Street chicken and shrimp never disappoints! And I'm not blaming the server but they seem to be seating everyone in her section. She was clearly overwhelmed and couldn't keep up. A drunk guy at the bar kept yelling at another couple across the bar. He finally left and so did I.

I was looking for a place to eat dinner before flying back home the very next day. I settled on Applebee's for two reasons: we don't really have Applebee's any more in Chicagoland, only a few locations; and I wanted to compare it to Chili's (because I dined there a week earlier.)At 8:24PM on Apr. 11th, I arrived at the restaurant. There was a homeless person sitting by the front entrance. He said something incoherent to me.I was immediately seated but not approached by any wait-staff until 8:40PM. Yes, basically I sat there looking at my phone for more than 15 min. until a server finally showed up. (In this case, a staff member should have approached me and said, 'Someone will be right with you. Can I get you a glass of water to start with? Or, did you want something to drink?)At 8:40PM, I ordered water and Bourbon Steak together because I didn't want to wait any longer. Around 8:50PM, I was served a sizzling steak soaked in fatty oil that didn't taste anything like Bourbon or even a steak. At 9:05PM, I finished my entrée, and at 9:10PM, ordered a dessert. (Here, my server should have asked me if I wanted a dessert instead of me asking her if I could see the dessert menu. While my server, Yulissa, was nice, she made no effort to upsell. Maybe she wanted to go home after a long day, but the restaurant hours were until midnight.) The lava cake with ice cream was most likely pre-made because it tasted like a store-bought and served to me in less than 2 min. from the time I ordered. At 9:17PM, I finished my dessert, and at 9:20PM, I was given my check.At 9:30PM, while I was waiting for my ride in the restaurant parking lot, another homeless person approached me and asked for change. I politely told him that I didn't have any because I didn't have any. Then, he just walked away.My final verdict: Applebee's < Chili'sParking: It seems like the local homeless people congregate here to ask for money from the restaurant guests.

Our server was clearly new but absolutely amazing and just a super friendly helpful guy. However, we ordered drinks that tasted like cola so we asked our server to confirm that our drinks were what we ordered. He was so nice and went to the older female bartender who proceeded to publicly berate him for checking, then proceeded to point at us and give looks throughout our dinner. I’ve never witnessed a bartender behave so immature and so incredibly disrespectful to an employee and customers before. Absolutely would never go back because of her but I wish the server all the best

We have been to Applebee’s in other locations, so we kind of knew what to expect in terms of food. But our waitress today was extremely cheerful and attentive. It really made the whole dining experience great. She was professional and personable. No complaints there.And the Southwest Chicken Bowl that I ordered was very tasty and pretty healthy. Definitely can recommend.

Worse service ever at an Applebee’s… Hostess expected us to sit at a dirty table. Asked for it to be cleaned and the waitress (Alexis) rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed. She left the table soaking wet after wiping all the trash in the seat of the booth. Asked for the seat to be wiped and she left it wet for 15 minutes before wiping it dry with a paper towel. Drinks brought to the table and were flat. Asked for a water and she expected me to use the same straw that was used for the water. She reached across the table to get the plates and her arm hit the straw of the drink. Definitely won’t be returning to this location.

I'm very disappointed at this location. I'm clearly in my mid 50s with gray hair, but the wait staff insisted on seeing my ID. I believe he was hassling me due to who I was with. We ordered an appetizer that came out cold, congealed and unappetizing. (The classic combo). I chose not to order entrees based on the poor quality of the appetizer.

Great value with the wings for $2.50 (5 pieces) super quick service, root beer was from another planet. Kind and accommodating staff. Relaxed environment for some tasty food before heading to a concert with my family. The new look to the building is gorgeous as well. Great Job Applebee'
Clean and orderly. Rapid service even after 9. Food was fine. Average priced for this type of fare. All in all positive experience. Will likely visit again.

I really enjoyed my experience here, I'm a particular person. I come for good food, relaxation from the stress of my kitchen/dishes and good service (as an Introvert), and I received all of these here. We have decided to make this one of our spots and their late night 1/2 price dessert menu is Various and Savory. The environment is peaceful and the broad open new remodeling seating, creates privacy and space from other patrons. The team looked happy, and all ready to assist, even met the manger. Very pleasant and Delicious.
