BEWARE!! My niece had her wedding there two weeks ago. Almost all of the gift cards that were left for the couple (in a cute little box) were stolen. Several thousands of dollars in wedding gifts—gone. There was another wedding happening on the same evening, and they had their monetary gifts stolen, as well. The hotel is refusing to take any responsibility! (They had the gall to suggest that maybe my family had forgotten where we put the money…really???). Add to this that the “double” room is two very small double beds—a very tight fit for my husband and I to share a bed (our 14 year old gets her own bed—she kicks!). We didn’t sleep well at all. The hotel is shabby—light fixtures damaged, carpets needing replaced, etc… And we were warned that the neighborhood isn’t very safe. Don’t stay there. DEFINITELY don’t hold an event there.
The rooms were so so. Not updated at all. No counter space in bathroom - even though it was a suite. Limited luggage assistance. Attended a wedding here, with multiple weddings going on at different locations within the hotel at the same time. Significant money stolen from both weddings and hotel stated that they take "no responsibility whatsoever" for incidents on their property. "People go home and find lost items in their underwear". So if you have any difficulty safety wise -- you will be on your own! Don't book here. Not worth the lack of responsibility from the hotel.
Beautiful place that allows its customers to experience the authenticity of New Mexico from the comfort of a homey hotel. The staff were personable and took great care of us! They had the largest most incredible pool and we especially loved the bar and appreciated its late night hours!
Can not express how pleased we where with the hotel. Great location, exceptional service from every aspect from check in , house keeping , pool and general staff . Spent the day at the pool that I must say was one of the most relaxing and clean pool areas that we have enjoyed in along while . Had drinks at Garduno’s then enjoyed dinner at their sister property Chaco and then off to the Sawmill Market for drinks and dessert . All areas where clean and staff went out of their way to ensure Covid guidelines where kept enjoyed morning coffee in their beautiful garden area and was pleasantly surprised that staff went out of their way to ensure we did not need anything and provided us their contact information and offered any future needs . This is in walking distance to many restaurant , breweries , museums and just a 2 min walk over to the historic old town . Kudos to all for making this a very enjoyable birthday weekend for a very special young lady.
I just stayed at Hotel Albuquerque for 3 nights. Our federal agency had a group meeting. The staff was friendly and the rooms were pleasant. It is convenient to Old town, Sawmill District food market and Albuquerque museum. On Sunday night I experienced a stomachache at midnight. My husband called the front desk and the night staff problem solved and got ginger ale to help. Recommend for business or pleasure.
Let me start by saying it was nice to just relax in a beautiful room. The hotel staff were all kind and very helpful. I am also being completely honest, when I tell you that I have never slept so well...like EVER!! The mattress, pillows and even the comforter were 100٪ I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud and forgot where I was when I woke up. I did not want to leave my room when it was time to see the local attractions. I will be back our next time we are in town! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We just returned from a Mother's Day visit with relatives in Albuquerque. Although we've been many times over the past 20 years, this is the first time we've stayed at this hotel. We stayed in room 1032. I don't normally reveal the room number, but this one is a room with a premium view for a very nice price! The view is amazing and the elevator and ice machine is right around the corner! The room is very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the parking is free and very convenient. Old Town is definitely within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel and we'll be back! Tip: The thermostat on the wall controls the A/C - Heat unit by the window! LOL...
Great location near Old Town Albuquerque and the newly opened Sawmill Market. One restaurant is open in the hotel, but others are temporarily closed. Not sure if they’ll open as the summer season gets going. Very comfortable room.
Stayed for three nights and found it a perfect fit what I needed, almost. Bed was a bit hard but I prefer softer, not a big deal. Plenty of comfy pillows. Nice view out window of mountains in the background which I requested when I made reservation. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating but I'm really easy to please when I travel so I didn't ask for anything. Check in was seamless. Bummer restaurant and pool are/ were closed due to Covid. But alas my last night there people were eating at the restaurant. I wish I known it was going to be open. I note under the door or something. Walking distance to Old Town which is a nice area with shops and galleries. Kinda all the same stuff jewelry, pottery, t-shirts except galleries. There are ew eateries. candy stores, and coffee shops, even apost office but many were closed. I found it difficult to find places to eat but I was looking for eateries with a full bar, not just beer and wine and items that weren't all Mexican food. Many restaurants are closed Sun though Thursday as well as activities. Be sure to plan ahead as you won't get in to museums snd parks without advance tickets due to Covid restrictions. Very happy with hotel, location, and rate.
We were staying down the street at another hotel we were not pleased with when we came upon the Hotel Albuquerque. We walked in and Tierney at the front desk immediately had us booked for the next 3 nights at a great rate. Very nice room overlooking Old Town with a balcony. When we noticed some unsightly trash outside our balcony, Tierney had it removed promptly. When we needed amenities like more coffee, Tierney addressed them immediately. She seemed to be on duty constantly!!?? When we needed a hot tub res and towels, you-know-who took care of it. Bluntly, without Tierney you would have gotten 4 stars. May I suggest hiring more staff? Just like Tierney, of course. And the bed and linens were really nice and comfy. The hotel did lack 24 hour restaurant and room service.
My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Albuquerque. The hotel room decor was a little outdated but that’s what gave it its charm. The room was very clean and the staff was so friendly. It’s also very close to Old Town and all of the Breaking Bad filming locations. We also loved the gift shop inside and had a fun time chatting with Anita who works there. Highly recommend it for an authentic New Mexican experience.
They had the doors sealed after the room was cleaned so you know no one else has gone in there. They keep their luggage racks behind the desk and clean them after every use. I received a text message before our arrival asking about when we could come and they were prepared and ready for us. The restaurant is currently not open in the hotel, but the small gift shop was. There is also no valet parking that we saw. Due to Covid I think they’re running on minimal employees but they’re doing a great job with it!
It was our first time traveling to Albuquerque, New Mexico. With all of the safety guidelines to follow, Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town did a great job at making sure we felt safe and comfortable. We had a great view of the city looking over Old Town. The first morning we came down to the front desk and was greeted with a warm welcoming by Tierney at the front desk. She was very kind and helpful. She gave us ideas on what to do throughout our stay and where to eat that was open for patio seating. Tierney was very professional and was excited to see that we were traveling to New Mexico for the first time. Hotel Albuquerque is a great place to stay. The hotel is walking distance to Old Town with many shops to see. If you are looking for a place to stay in Albuquerque with great hospitality I highly suggest staying here.
First time staying at this hotel and I was not disappointed. The girls at the front desk were fantastic. Room was very spacious and clean, and had a great view of the city from the balcony. The gift shop was huge and was pleased that it had late hours to go to it after dinner and not be rushed. Great restaurant and bar at the hotel as well.
Please stay away from here!!!! The entire venue is unsafe, even the hotel parking lot. You will witness burglaries right in front of the hotel all while security just stand around and do nothing.
