Read all the earlier negative reviews from years ago and was hesitant to try this establishment, but I discovered after entering the place that it is now under new ownership and a new fantastic cook. The menu has been reduced but do not take that as a bad thing because the items on the new menu are exceptional. I had the sautéed Talapia and my wife had the Shrimp in Cream Sauce. Both were outstanding. We had our choice of slide vegetables and both selected the Asparagus. The stocks were slender from tip to base and cooked just right and very tender. Daniel, the cook even came out and wanted to know how well we like the meal. We told him the meal was excellent!!!
This little gem has a fantastic French atmosphere. The chef is friendly and attentive, and the food is fantastic. They do not currently offer libations, but they are in the works. However, it does not take away from the culinary experience in the slightest.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, I needed a restaurant that goes above and beyond with the food, atmosphere, and music. This place definitely has all of that! When me and my wife arrived we were greeted by great customer service by the waiters and amazed by the vibes this place had, we had the Valentines Day 5 course meal along with me and my wife’s favorite meal, Lamb ribs & scallops. Extremely delicious food! Daniel Little made us feel loved & welcomed and took our reservation prior before us coming in to enjoy our dinner! Daniel put together a successful meal plan for this special & romantic day, we were blown away and enjoyed the surprise of the music. Larry, a talented & wise piano player. We enjoyed every bit this place had and definitely loved and appreciated the hard work they put in, hope this place strives. Recommend this place!

Apparently this restaurant changed hands recently and I sure hope it survives. The staff is friendly and the food is great. I love French food and the chefs didn't disappoint. The 4 of us tried the french onion soup, Boeuf Bourguignon, scallops and the shrimp entrees followed by chocolate mousse, creme caramel and crepes suzette. It was all very good. (The mousse was good but not as rich and smooth as what we're used to.) The prices were reasonable: approximately $24 per entree and $7 for desserts. One downside is that they don't have a liquor license yet. Please visit and help them succeed!

Had lunch at Chez Axel on a tuesday. My guest and I each had crepes, one mushroom, one salmon which both came accompanied with a lovely fresh salad. The crepes were both excellent, delicious. We both had the creme brule for dessert which was also excellent. Atmosphere was quiet and lovely, arefully appointed, but not overly fancy. Chef/manager Daniel was engaging and fun to chat with. Prices are totally reasonable.Highly recommended for a nice lunch or a dinner out (although the dinner menu is completely different from the lunch menu, and I cannot coment on the offerings). Tuesday night didn't feel like cooking so my family and I went out to dinner. Never been here before but saw it and thought we would check it out. They where very slow we where the only customers in the place. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable of the food. There was 3 of us and we all tried different dishes. I started with the onion soup which was very good for the main course we had the sea bass, shrimp and the pork cutlets. Everything was cooked perfect and just full of flavor. Just small things that they could do better such as wine would have been great with this meal. The server said that they where changing ownership so no liquor license. Also, they have the smallest beverage glasses. Our server was constantly having to fill our drinks which could be problematic if they where busy. For desert we had the crepe and the flan brulee. The crepe was very good but the flan brulee was pretty ordinary. It could have been better.Overall a very good meal and a decent experience. I would recommend this place for a date night or a meal with the family

Three of us made reservations for dinner. One of us actually went to the restaurant to make reservations for the following night as their telephone was never answered and no voice mail activated. Were told we had reservations. We showed up fifteen minutes before our reservation but the doors were locked and no one around. Waited until our reservation time and no one arrived or was inside. Left and went elsewhere. This place will not be around much longer maybe already closed.
