I came across this place with my boyfriend and we decided to give it a try. Especially as we both were very hungry we thought hotdogs sounded great! We went inside and sat down like the hostess instructed and received our menus. Once we ordered all the sudden the atmosphere changed. I am a transgender woman and it was made very clear by all the staring from both staff and customers, that I was in no way shape or form welcome there. The hostess turned extremely cold towards us and a different worker assumed we were from out of town and he kinda insinuated that we were "strangers" like a roundabout way of saying we didn't belong there. At that point we just finished eating and left. I spent the next few hours crying from the humiliation I felt.

Who doesn't like fantastic hotdogs? This place is great, lots of options to customize to your taste and preferences and good beer selection too. The Tattooed Lady is awesome!!

My goodness this place is AMAZING! I use this app all the time, but I do not give reviews very often, But this restaurant needs to be found out. Both of my kids of symptomatic Celiac. The clowndog hotdog parlor has gluten-free corndogs, fried cheese, hotdogs. And everything is homemade. It is so delicious. My kids gotta have corndogs and onion rings for the first time in a restaurant. It was fabulous. The food is so good. This is the most delightful restaurant in Albuquerque. It is perfect from the ground up.., How many regulars can a couple have?, ask Molly and Rich., answer , all of em. I wouldn't even need the food to be great to return, but as it turns out, it is. What a rare treat in the 505 to enjoy a Chicago dog on a sesame bun. Wow. I would also recommend the tots in their many various permutations, they slap. I shall return for the company, atmosphere, and amazing hot dogs that Clown dogs serve up so scrupulously. 6 stars outta 5.

The hot dogs are incredible. The only downside was they got mad at me for covering my table in rose petals and candles. I was just trying to have a romantic meal with the love of my life. Turns out it's more of a casual spot. Weinerschnitzel is better for anniversaries.
