Love this place. Have been going since I was a kid. Never disappointed. Unfortunately the prices are getting pretty pricey. The staple that I’ve always gotten (stuffed papilla)has nearly doubled in price. Got a quart of posole and nearly choked when they told me it was almost $15. But I guess that is the times we are in now. But still a very special place.

Ordered carne adovada stuffed sopapillas they were half filled, before you'd get your money's worth. More expensive, less food. Disappointing.

The service was very good and it wasn't long before our food was ready.Parking: Best to come in the early afternoon.
Ordered childs plate the cost is close to $10.00. They give u a taco shell with a lil bit of hamburger meat, small AMT of rice,& beans. I think there might have been 3 lil pieces of potatoes. Chicharones are made with deep fried fat no meat. The owners are from New York. It's not the real El Modelos -Ive been going there for 50yrs. They need to chg their name.

Some of my favorite New Mexican food. Best for take out but they do have some outdoor seating. Call ahead as they can be busy but even so the wait is never that bad and its always worth it. Tons of food for great prices.

I was on a quest driving across the country to find some of the best mexican food. I have super high picky standards and this place blew my expectations out of the water. Super cheap and only the highest standard. I tried some of everything and was only disappointed it will be awhile before I can come back. Don't miss this legendary stop if your passing through.
