This was the first time visiting over the weekend and was a interesting place to eat. Easy street parking. Was hoping the pinball was a bit cheaper then the normal $1 since we were patrons but it was what it was. Margherita pizza was just ok; the basil was shredded and the cheese was very minimal with way more sauce then needed. Pepperoni and cheese pizzas were good along with the cheesy knots. Beer selection is also low. Was hoping for more from the reviews but was just ok. Service was good also.

Pros: good crust, downtown location, quick serviceCons: lack of ambiance, high price- even for location, $13 chicken tenders are not worth it, $25 pizza

I like this place but there is some disconnect between the pizza place and the arcade. I can't quite put my finger on it but it feels like you're frequenting two separate businesses. And I don't know that that is such a bad thing. First and foremost, the pizza is lovely. Both the regular and the vegan (they make their vegan cheese in-house and it's quite tasty.) There are also plenty of local craft beers for you to choose from if you need a beer with your pizza (I frequently do.) I think the atmosphere is the only thing that is throwing me off. I'm going to try going at a busier time to check it out. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was way more quiet than I was expecting. And then I felt awkward going to the arcade side since no one else was in there. I'll update my review when I get back over there. I love having local pizza in my 'hood and want to give it all the chances to be more fun. (But it was still, very good pizza.)

Okay so why wouldn't anyone want to eat pizza, drink beers and play old school video games? This place is the ish. We get the meat head pizza! The pizza here is so bomb. Cooked super fresh and the toppings aren't just thrown on and fall off when you eat it. Lol! Most places I feel like just give a cheese pizza and add more cheese and toppings. Always fresh here! & the garlic knots! Wow. Worth the try. We always make sure to bring like 10-15$ in change for the machine! I have a blast playing Mrs.Pac Man and the centipede game! My husband loves the pinball machines & the blitz football game! Everrry once in awhile a machine will eat your money, most won't give you your money back but some do! They do not replace the quarters you lost at the counter so don't bother! Haha.

I went on a wonderful birthday trip with my fiancé to New Mexico. We're both exclusively vegan so it's always fun to find new places to eat while traveling. Holmes Pizza & Arcade was no exception. It's pretty big inside and even has an arcade. The food was mostly good, their cheese taste quite real. We got the Hawaiian Pizza. However, I'm giving them 3 stars for a few reasons. One, their menu could be a little more straight forward, especially when highlighting the vegan options. The customer service was not the best, with the lady at the register seeming inpatient and irritated as I asked questions to understand the menu. Lastly, they way overcharge for a small side of vegan ranch. I'm not sure if I would return or recommend this place but I did appreciate it as an option to eat while visiting Albuquerque.

Visited ABQ for 4 days and loved discovering this place so much that I went 2 times! Love the atmosphere, the arcade games and the (Vegan) food. Friendly staff and quick service. Definitely recommend and will visit on every future trip!

I'm a pinball enthusiast from out state and this place was awesome. All the games were clean and functioning properly. The pizza was delicious and the staff was very friendly and welcoming! I will be back next time I'm in Albuquerque!

Man, what a disappointment! I've been here a few times with different people. The kids play in the arcade, the adults go in and out of the arcade and we all enjoy pizza together. Kids are supervised as we can see them from the arcade entrance. it's not very big and there were only 2 other people in the whole place. Never had any problems until today. Apparently, kids can't be in the arcade without an adult. The sign should be posted by the entrance to the arcade and not hidden on a wall no one looks at. So then we decide to problem solve and take our food into the arcade, where there are tables. We were then told we couldn't take our food in there, only beer, haha. What a joke! Nothing about this made sense. Today was not a family friendly experience. What made it worse was that the girl was so rude about it. She made sure to let me know that she was the GM, maybe just a power trip. Her customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

We stumbled upon this place while downtown and I'm so glad we did! I don't think that there is anywhere else like Holmes in Albuquerque that has beer and an arcade. The majority of the arcade games are pinball machines. We had a few beers and eventually ordered a pizza. They have a pretty decent selection of local beers on tap and the pizza was good as well.

Initially I called to place an order over the phone instead of online. I wanted to know if they could split the pizza 50/50. I was told they don’t do it for any specialty pizza (which is basically all of them). First two times I called, it rang forever and no one answered. Then I called back a third time and was placed on hold for over 10 minutes so I hung up. Called back a fourth time and someone finally answered to take my order. I arrived to pick up my order and discovered they don’t do any fountain drinks to-go which is a huge bummer for it being a pizza place. Then realized my pizza was basically a cracker with cheese on it. I’ve had better pizza from a grocery store to be honest. It was really disappointing, especially for the cost. $24 for a 14” cracker pizza? That’s ridiculous, I won’t be back.

Great pizza. Great pins. Great people. Great location. What's not to like? Oh yeah, great beer, too.

PORK is served here so its NOT Vegan friendly. Its more vegetarian friendly. Free parking on Sunday's period. And after 6pm or was it 7pm?! Please look into it.

If you are from Albuquerque please step outside your comfort zones. Most people from Albuquerque are hooked and won't try other pizza. Holmes pizza is better then Dions and is incredible pizza. I spent the last 13 years in NYC and this is the closest to NY pizza you can get here! The staff is awesome and it's always great vibes when you eat in! It's fun they have a pinball arcade and a bar with beer/wine. What more could you ask for???

The crust is very different but it's not heavy it has good flavor flaky and is perfect it's not burned it's just perfect. The flavors of the tomato sauce it's not acidic it's not sweet it's just perfect. The garlic butter strong flavors but not overwhelming at all. The meat pizza very tasty the flavors are there the combination of meats helps it to not be heavy yet you know you're eating a meat pizza. As for the goat cheese with the mushrooms and other vegetables the combination is unique the goat cheese is not overwhelming yet it cleanses your palate which is nice overall it's a good pizza. The arcade it takes you back to the childhood.

Was sitting in Holmes with my two kids ages 13 and 10 when a woman moaning came on over the speaker. Probably was a sample to the beginning of a song but made my son very uncomfortable. Also, can’t count the number of times their “vintage” machines took my kids quarters. The manager gave them back one time but that’s the only time they got their money back. Money my kids worked for might I add. They’re also extremely rude about the vintage games. Like why have a restaurant and call it an arcade but be so rude about people touching the equipment!?? Just a thought. And it’s really weird that they have mostly good reviews when the place is dead 70% of the time. And I mean dead! No foot work whatsoever
