I like I Scream Ice Cream! It's a retro ice cream shop that offers huge selection of ice cream flavors (and toppings). The environment also takes you back in time to see all the fun paraphernalia back in the past. While the ice cream isn't homemade, I think this shop offers a good opportunity to just come and relax and enjoy your time with some cool desserts. You can get to try many flavors in a single order (get upto 3 flavors and a free topping in a cup!) The staff was polite and let me take my sweet time to decide on what I wanted. The serving portion was generous as well. This place was popular! I came in around 7pm and there were 10+ people coming in and out! Very nice and relaxing and just a cool environment to enjoy desserts! I would love to stop by again and love that we have this unique ice cream shop here in this university area!

Love this place. You can expect a whimsical experience with amazing, fresh ice cream. I always love getting to talk with the owner as well. He has some amazing stories and is so so kind. It’s always a treat to come here. You can’t leave without being uplifted!

This place is really cool with tons of nostalgia & games. Think ‘50s malt shop or pharmacy counter.The malt I got was incredible, and the service was top notch. The ice cream was delicious too.

My brother and I wanted some ice cream and we were going to go to Baskin Robin's or Coldstone but we decided to go somewhere different that wasn't available everywhere so we decided to come to I Scream Ice Cream and I do not regret it! 35 flavors to choose from and so many toppings. Not only that but the customer service was excellent. They have a small area for kids to play and a large display of older items like radios, cameras, etc from back in the day. It's nostalgic! 100000 + stars. I recommend coming to this mom and pop shop ❤️

My children and I were repairing our Kindle from next-door repair shop. To our surprise we came upon this amazing magical ice cream store. Inside his collection of mini oddities and amazing cool things plus we get to eat the most yummy ice cream that actually taste like it has real cream and milk in it, this place could be an Albuquerque tradition. It’s such a cool place. I was so happy that we went there. The owner was very friendly and she was so helpful and talked about all the things, the collections, and all the different kinds of ice creams that they had my five-year-old had such a fun day and we live outside in Santa Fe. She can’t wait to come back Albuquerque. You’re lucky to have such a cool ice cream store .

food: chocolate + vanilla w nuts: 4:10 raspberry chunk + strawberry cheesecake + fruit loops: 7/10 service: NEGATIVE 10 probably the worst service i have ever received. not one to pull the race card but i feel validated reading other reviews lol. owners (or the two elders that seemed to be in charge) were so insanely rude and you could tell they are horrible bosses too lol. yeah nothing about this place would ever make me go back. not the cool stuff they have and definitely not the ice cream. ambiance: 6/10 looked interesting walking. felt a little little crowded in there and we didn't get to see much before the elder lady ruined the experience for us. i tried to be as nice as i could writing this review but you wouldn't catch me recommending this to my worst enemy. i was visibly shook when i saw that this place had such a good ratings but the bad reviews are BAD. i don't wish them any harm but go at your own risk
