WOW!!! This place is amazing!!! My husband is what I call a “food snob”, and he absolutely loved this place!! He got the Chicken Breast Mole and he said, “Wow! It’s like I’m eating this in someone’s kitchen”. Meaning, It’s authentic, flavorful and oh so DELICIOUS!!!! I ordered the Pizzabirirria and it was INCREDIBLE!! Such a large portion, so filling and the dipping broth that comes with is divine! You can easily share a pizzabirirria between two people. I had to take half of it with me.We were just passing through on our way to Texas and my husband wanted authentic Mexican food and so I turned to Google. After reading so many 5 star review for this restaurant, we decided to give it a try. And this place did not disappoint!!! We are so glad we stopped here! The waiter was very very friendly, the food came out pretty quickly and the horchata was delicious. It tasted like honey milk. You can tell it is a favorite place of the locals because there was a huge line for take out, along with a full restaurant. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic and delicious Mexican food!

so happy as we were passing through during our road trip that we stopped here, it was the best food we had on our whole trip. Service was great, our waiter was super friendly took time to explain the menu and what the most popular items were and he wasn't lying. The birria pizza - 10/10 the consome WAS DELICIOUS I could've eaten a whole pot full of that it was the best consome I think I've ever had full of flavor and spice.

Was super busy on a Monday evening for dinner but so glad I was able to try this place during my trip to New Mexico! One of the best pizzabirria/quesabirria tacos I've had. Super fast service and the staff were very friendly. Prices are reasonable and the portions are huge! Highly recommend!

The tacos were good! We got a basket of chips which were phenomenal. The place had a great atmosphere and I definitely felt like these were authentic New Mexican tacos. This was the first top on our taco tour!

I walked in, and I was clearly the only non-Hispanic white person there. That first impression is how I knew I would be in for a treat. And BOY I got one! I ordered the quesabirria tacos, and they were fantastic! PACKED with meat, served with a spicy and densely flavor broth, and leveled up with their verde salsa, I enjoyed every last bite! I paid about $18 including tip for 4 stuffed tacos. Considering prices in 2024, that isn't great, but not too bad either, especially since you are getting quality food! I would put La Guelaguetza in the top 3 for Mexican restaurants in ABQ next to Foodtopia and Los Olivos! Well done! 100% I need to come back for their mole enchiladas.

We've been in ABQ for a few months and have tried several taco trucks trying to find Quesabirria done right and my fellow Yelpers did not disappoint in their recommendations for La Guelaguetza, the tacos were EXACTLY what I'd been searching for. They were so delicious, filled full of meat and cheese and the consommé had just the right amount of spice. The pizza too was just as delicious! Our server was very nice, and quite efficient given he was the only one I saw, he got our order, brought our food and checked on us all in a timely fashion and was pleasant! It's a small dining area with booths and tables but what the interior lacks the food more than makes up for! Check this place out, you will not be disappointed!

This Mexican Restaurant is Homemade Every Day! Best Mexican Food in Albuquerque New Mexico! If you're Looking for True Mexican "Birria Tacos", this is it. The Mole is Amazing as well, they have 3 types. It's a small quaint place, service was prompt.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - we ordered based on recommendations from the server of Quesabirria Tacos and Chicken Enchilada with Black Mole. Quesabirria tacos were tortilla with melted cheese and birria-style (meat-stew) beef folded in with a side of savory beef broth for dipping. Absolutely delicious, quite a quick, and much heavier than it looked. The lime is needed to cut through the heaviness. The enchilada was good but the mole was quite interesting! It tasted very earthy and smoky with a sweet aftertaste. Service: 4/5 - slight language barrier but very friendly! If you don't read Spanish, the English menu is quite lacking with no pictures or prices and the items available area slightly different as well. Ambiance: 5/5 - the outside was a little bit scary but inside is clean overall even though it seems like a much older building and establishment. There's colorful decorations on the ceilings and walls and festive music playing. Value for price: 4/5 - we didn't see the quesabirria tacos on the menu and was a bit surprised by the $15 cost but it was delicious!

Food was excellent and way too much for me and my 2 teens (we had the Mexican pizza) Service was friendly and helpful and recommended the favorite dish which we had been recommended as well. The place isn't much to look at and it's a bit hard to find but at this place you go for the food.
