“This place is definitely owned by a greek because the food is fantastic and the Tzatziki is not made from sour cream (big no no). My only slight criticism is that the gentleman behind the counter ordered us a regular salad when i kept saying horiatiki (village). Staff needs to learn the greek names of the food they purvey. Excellent stuff, ridiculously low prices for what you get.“
“Does your toum have sugar in it? I've never had watery sweet garlic sauce...it was very disappointing and I couldn't finish it even through I've always loved it more than hummus and baba ganoush. Wasn't thick and creamy like every other Middle Eastern restaurant I have been to.Aside from that the food was pretty good. Falafel, tabbouleh, pickled veggies, hummus, lentil soup and baba ganoush. Would order those again.“
“Food was good, my husband tried the gyro. Said it is the best tasting he has had here in Albuquerque! ( could have had a bit more meat ) as for me the shawarma sandwich was meh . I want to try the empanada , sowe will definitely try again!“
“Delicious food, a bit unique from other Mediterranean restaurants and lots of options. Well made, well flavored, etc. Usually takes longer than they say though.Vegetarian options: Great veggie options that still have protein and are very filling.“
“Habibi House is hands down the best halal restaurant in Albuquerque, New Mexico. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel like I was part of the family. The menu at Habibi House is a perfect blend of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors. Every dish is prepared with the freshest and highest quality ingredients, creating a burst of flavors in every bite. The hummus is creamy and the falafel is crispy, and the lamb kabobs are cooked to perfection. I highly recommend their chicken shawarma, which is juicy and full of spices. The staff at Habibi House is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They are always happy to suggest dishes and help you navigate through the different options. The service is top-notch and they make you feel like a VIP every time you dine there. In addition to the delicious food, Habibi House also has a beautiful and cozy ambience. The decor is a mix of traditional and modern, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. I particularly love the Arabic music playing in the background, which adds to the overall experience. But what truly sets Habibi House apart is their commitment to halal food. As a Muslim, it can be challenging to find halal restaurants in certain areas, but Habibi House ensures that all their dishes are prepared following strict halal guidelines. This is a huge plus for me, as I can eat here without worrying about the food being halal or not.Overall, I highly recommend Habibi House to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic halal dining experience in Albuquerque. The food, service, and ambience are all top-notch, making it the best halal restaurant in the city. I guarantee that once you try their food, you'll keep going back for more.“
“Went there for lunch on a Friday. No issue getting seated right away. Definitely an interesting combo of a grocery story(which is a good place to get Middle Eastern groceries and prices seemed reasonable) and grill. My wife had a lamb shawarma, daughter had an eggplant and feta sandwich and I had a vegetarian platter. All were good—the eggplant/feta was probably the winner and all were filling. Nice stop and we will go back.“
“First off amazing atmosphere. To our awesome hostess, beautiful server. She was amazing, she handled the upstairs that night. I wish I remembered her name :(. But she was amazing:) It was my moms birthday dinner, and everything was top notch. Bartender perfect, and to our Chef Izzy, if thats spelt correct. He came out to introduce himself and wish my mom a Happy Birthday. Hes a talented chef and you can tell, hes a perfectionist. He deserved a kiss as I always say for delicious food lol. Thank you to all the wonderful staff. We will be back.“

“My Lebanese parents are very picky when it comes to middle eastern food and commented that the food at Shawarma Express was “outstanding” and gave it their stamp of approval. Excellent food every time! Don’t skip the appetizers! The hummus, baba gannoush, dolmas and falafel are all delicious.“
“The food is amazing! It’s really authentic and just good clean eating. The food comes out a little slow and the service counter gets kind of backed up because of all of the to go orders waiting to be picked up, but they’re always friendly! The Baba ghanoush and the shawarma plate is to die for, also make sure you get some baklava after your meal! I would definitely recommend!“
