Great little place for some New Mexican food. I got the taco combo plate and I wasn't disappointed. Service was great and the staff was friendly.

Really great traditional Mexican food. Servers were very conscientious. Atmo was clean and open, but needed some personality to get that last star, seemed a little institutional. But didn't let that stop you!

The food was goodish but it was missing something. Can't quite put my finger on it. The service was great. We were taken to a table as we entered. Drinks and salsa were quick. I had a chimi and my wife had an omelet. It was restaurant was nice but as the crowd came the louder it got and I'm not one for a lot of noise.

Service was perfect, Chicken chimichanga platter, rolled tacos with guacamole all great! And the sopapilla with honey was heaven! If we're ever in Albuquerque again we'd definitely eat here again.

The food is good and makes up for the weird cafeteria ambiance. I had an enchilada plate from the veggie menu and it was tasty. The table salsa was the main standout and is worth buying some to take home. It was $26 for a plate and a beer, which seems like a lot, even though that is also becoming the norm these days.

Monroe's was quite likable, busy with a mixed family clientele. Decor was weird and basic but clean and very friendly. Food was good but not great, and stuff was super helpful. We tried the enchiladas, a smothered burrito and fries. Was tasty and fresh but a bit stingy on the smothering. Red and green sauces were both very good. Darn, forgot to take pictures.Vegetarian options: Pretty standard vegetarian options, calabacitas was mostly onions, beans and rice if course, New Mexican food is pretty vegetarian friendly.

My family and I have been eating there for years. It’s the only New Mexican style restaurant we prefer to eat at!

Service wasn’t too bad, our server took our order and then we didn’t see her again, but 2 other people did come and get us a refill and did bring me my check. Food wasn’t too bad. As for a search for kid friendly not bad but there wasn’t very many kids here… mainly adults. Fries are great tho!
