Food is good… but I have lived in Saigon and it’s a little Americanized. Tastes like they might use too much sugar and not enuff spices… still delicious food and wonderful staff.

LADY WITH GLASSES & HAIR IN OUR FOODThis recent time: I found a long strand of hair on our Quail roasted onto it & didn’t want to make a scene or even get a discount just wanted it to be acknowledged. ( we left it on the napkin for her to see to which she ignored) After not having an appetite even for the main dish she asked what was wrong and we told her (lady with glasses.. WISH I LOOKED AT THE REVIEWS BEFORE) she got offended that we brought it up after asking us what was wrong?? If you’re going to get upset maybe don’t ask what was wrong .She told us to not come back to the restaurant but with that attitude I could see why it was so empty. Then she complained about not getting a tip after telling us to not come back? Are we tipping people now after her disrespectful behavior??I Truly feel bad for this restaurant because she will put this place out of business. Considering they just reopened in February….Would highly suggest getting new servers if they want to continue running this place or having a manager step in and take over to deescalate the situationShe’s a miserable human being who projects how she feels on customers which seems to be frequently.. I guess we’re supposed to be okay with hair in our food & possibly the rudest server I’ve ever encountered & several other people have.. if you are okay with that then continue to come here.

Dropped in for a snack before a movie. Service was quick. We ordered spring rolls and chicken wings. The rolls were freshly made and tasted good with the fish sauce and peanut sauce. The fried chicken wings were hot and served with spices and grilled jalapenos. We will be back to try pho and other dishes.The owner(chef?) came out and asked if we liked everything, we had no complaints!

My friends had been telling me about Saigon City Restaurant for a while-I had been looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant with no success. I finally managed to stop by for lunch with a friend after getting our nails done. We really enjoyed our food! I'm from San Diego, which has some amazing Vietnamese restaurants, and this reminded me of home. The food was full of flavor, the textures were amazing, and the presentation was 10/10. The servers were very polite and attentive. I also enjoyed the decor and atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back, I'm excited to try more from the menu!

My first time eating at this restaurant and it was the most HORRIBLE customer service I have ever experienced! I was dining with my adult son his wife and 4 children and was treated very badly. As soon as we arrived the abuse from the server started, my 3 year old granddaughter needed the restroom and the server very rudely and verbally abusive told me the way to the restroom and to avoid another patron, I was walking around that patron and that is when I was yelled at, “that’s not the way to the bathroom!!!!”, she continued to yell at myself and my 3year old granddaughter. I ignored the hostility since I was with my family and wanted to enjoy a meal with them. The same server finally took our order and when the food finally came it was all wrong and argued about what we ordered. She said that, “that’s not what “YOU” ordered “. Wow!! She continued extremely abusive to say that she would place another order, but we would have to pay for the food that she brought us that was her error. She went over to the next table and told them that “those people have a bunch of kids”!!!! I will NEVER go back to this restaurant! I strongly recommend not to take your kid’s or grandchildren with you if you do go! I’m going to report to the BBB.
