Very good! Was here on a vacation and we don't have many African food where I come from, so I was super happy when I found this close to my hotel. Their fufu is super popular due to a TikTok video but I was just naturally curious about it and got it. Their fufu dough is very soft and melts in your mouth, the soup that goes with it is very flavorful and blends very well with the dough. The pan seared j*** chicken reminds me of a home cooked meal. It is very well seasoned and the portion size is absolutely huge. We completely gobbled that up quickly. I wish that the veggie side was larger though. The suya was like a dried beef jerky. Definitely good as a snack. Unfortunately, they still do not have dine in, but that should not deter anyone from coming. Absolutely would come back if I am in the area.

This was my first experience eating their food. Grand opening and Grand closing for me. I had the Curry Goat, meat was very chewy, the seasonings for the curry was not well blended into a gravy to give it a great flavor as the rice was dry. The side of green beans were under cooked and flavorless. Guaranteed not to return.

Based on posted hours on the door and online, they open at 12 noon. Waited outside until 12:15pm and thru didn't open. No sign of anyone inside setting up or prepping for the day.

The man who helped me was very kind he recommended the collard green soup and fufu and it was delicious! I will most certainly be back!

The food is delicious and the owner is an amazing woman. Pounded yam with peanut soup is my older son's favorite food. Been eating here since it first opened at their first location. Best Fufu in the city!

I love African food and was looking forward to this restaurant Unfortunately everything missed the mark. The first time we came a few hours before closing online it said they were open but when we arrived the owner was driving out and just said they were closed no explanation. Stuff happens so we didn't pay it any mind. The second time we ordered the sample platter with goat meat and okra soup with fufu. The okra soup had no okra and the there were only 2 small pieces of goat that tasted burnt. The jollof rice was not good either. No one could finish the food.

Customer service is garbage but the food is bomb. Would give a 5 star but I settled for 3 because it is not the cook's fault. Please employ a more respectful front host who is willing to go over the menu items with new customers and not sneak in incorrect charges. He's too jaded. But otherwise, the food was delicious! And the fufu and collard greens are amazing! 8/10 recommend. I would like to go again, but the host needs improvement.

Wow! Really amazing Ethiopian and Caribbean food. We took our food to go and enjoyed it all: injera platter with lentils, collard greens, and chicken. We also had pan seared j*** chicken, rice, and green beans. The fried plantains were out of this world and a great way to top off our meal. Take it from this Professor, A+ all around. [please excuse the thalas I placed our food on at home]

We been dying to try Fufu and everything from all the Tik Toks we see, we found this place and this is what you get for $35.00! Wouldn't recommend.

By far the very best dinner I've had in Albuquerque so far. The injera is soft, flavorful and a bit sour and the chicken, collard greens and lentils phenomenal. They're still take out only so I took my meal to Gravity Bound brewery just a few minutes drive away and pair it with a great gose beer. Phenomenal dinner thank you. I've rarely had an injera so full of flavor and soft. Super recommended.

I called in to order and when I got there the place was closed. They do business strange at this place. Also they never have Jamaican patties.

My boyfriend and I were so excited to eat here as my boyfriend is Nigerian. The woman working was so sweet. However, after getting home and looking at our order we were more than disappointed. For the price of $50 plus tip, we should have gotten WAY more food than this. This is absolutely ridiculous and I'm so sad to saw we won't be back. We love to support black owned businesses, especially being African ourselves, but I feel like we were ripped off!

We have enjoyed African food before, but this was our first visit to Talking Drums. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent! The woman who took our order was delightful, answered our many questions, and gave great recommendations. We will be back for more great food, and encourage folks to give Talking Drums a try.
