The sushi was excellent, fresh and well-prepared. The portions for the rolls and sashimi exceeded my expectations. The restaurant itself was very clean and modern with great service.

We were happy to try this place out. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. The place looked clean and parking was great .The staff was friendly and always checking to make sure we were enjoying our meal. The food presentation was beautiful and the variety of selections were great . However once we left we got really sick with stomach issues the Doctor said it was what we ate. We called to let them know and the manager still hasnt returned our calls. We were afraid others would eat what we had and get stomach issues as well. Guess that is no big deal to them . Very disappointed !

Our server, Kayla, was great... However, the back server initially forgot about us waiting to be seated in a half empty restaurant. Then when he brought our food out it was tossed out on the table and pushed to slide across. The ramen came out cold and overcooked, probably from sitting in the back. But it wasn't busy, and the food all came out at different times so they weren't waiting for it to come out at once. Worst part to me was that they shoved a fork sticking up on the ramen when they served it. Surprised they gave a fork in the bowl in the first place, but the way they had it sticking up in the food is very rude in multiple Asian cultures including Japanese. If you want Japanese food, they have it. If you want a Japanese food experience, go somewhere else.

This place is bad. When I walked in, I was greeted with “What do you need?” The Sushi rice was under cooked. The Korean Shrt Ribs were burnt and tough. The cook had the forethought to put the burnt side down.

Very pleasant. Excellent service. Quiet place with free parking.Started with amazing miso soup. Wonderful sushi, great variety. Scallop island was delicious and so was the Y.O.L.O Roll. Shrimp of fire was a superb presentation. Every dish was yummy. Must visit. Not v expensive.

I'm so glad we found this place! After living in Albuquerque for the past year and trying a number of sushi restaurants, we've finally found a great one. The ingredient quality at Tamashi is exceptional. The rolls are delicious and come out quickly. Our drinks were quickly refilled without us having to ask and the service attentive. The Sex and the City roll, which Tamashi lists as their most popular, was crunchy and fresh. I loved the crunchy bits on top, which are a Tamashi proprietary recipe. This is officially my favorite sushi place in Albuquerque and I'm glad we tried it. The price tag on some of the specialty rolls put us off from trying it a bit ago, but it's filling and completely worth it. Go check it out!
