Yesterday, Usekwu Foods offered up two delicious plates of Egusi soup with very tender goat meat and a plate of delicious Jollof rice! The fufu portions were perfect and everything was extremely fresh and piping hot when we picked it up. Customer service was great, ordering was fast and easy and they let you know ahead of time the prices of their cuisine. I highly recommend this place of business!

Abq JuneteenthThe rice and plantains were flavorful, but the chicken was old....I did not eat it.I was very unhappy about the extremely small amount of food I got for $dollars. There were no prices posted, just a handwritten sign with the dish names, but I wanted to support the business. I didn't find out what the price was until he wrote it on the container.I sense that he raised his price to match the nearby vendors who were serving 3x as much food.The food was being stored in a small fridge with aluminum pans of food that were mostly uncovered.

Goat and fish were not freshly cooked and was dry and barely warm from reheating. Only got small portion of goat with fat and gristle included; tilapia was seasoned nicely but again not even a full piece and was dry. Plantain was sweet and delicious but egusi had too much oil. Jollop rice was plain tasting.Would not recommend.

I have been eating from Uselwu since I got into Albuquerque. I have enjoyed every bit of their meal. Their Egusi soup with pounded yam is second to none. I highly recommend their Jollof rice, fried plantain, bitter leaf soup, to mention but a few. They also have some frozen meat and sea foods at affordable prices. Usekwu is way to go.
