The food was SO bland. The "queso" tasted like it was Ricco brand from a can! There was a hard layer as if it was just sitting out. I got the stuffed sopa and the sopa was paper thin, it was like I was eating a bean mush ball with NO FLAVOR. I got the butts of the tomatoes, not even cut. Just a huge chunk on top?.They didn't add the green sauce. Could barely get drink refills by the server so I didn't even bother trying to get green sauce from her. Just all around waste of money.

Service was fast & the specials are a great deal!!! Our waitress Margaret was so nice! The salsa is my favorite in Clovis! Each person gets their own bowl & it’s nice & spicy. Portions are humongous for a great price! The sopapillas are also amazing!

Very disappointed the last 3 times we went there. Service was good, but food was just so so. Going to go out and scout possibilities as we probably won't be going back. Chips and salsa were great though!!

I worked for Juan and Mimi Garza 40 years ago . Not long after they opened. I worked there for a year before I tasted his food. The reason being, I wanted to wait until I got off work and eat with my daughter. One day Margarita told me Juan thought I was predigest.I told her to order me a Deluxe. I will showHim I grew up on Mexican food, has always been my favorite. I will forever be grateful that he pushed me into eating his food. I call it his food and much of it is but it is also a family effort. Behind every successful man there is a strong woman. Mimi. She makes the best , most beautiful stuffed chili peppers. Believe me, there is an art to that. His mother made the tamales. Mario made the football sized Mexican bread.Since then I have traveled in 39 states and order it every chance I get. I can firmly say I have found nothing better.His children are managing it now and they may give him a run for his money.If you are traveling through New Mexico ,do yourself a favor and put this place onYour list.They do not need my help to get business; they already have it. You feel like you are South of the border. The atmosphere is amazing. The decor is beyond belief.Do yourself a favor and go out of your way to experience the most authentic Mexican food in this country.

Great food, amazing service. Albert was a fantastic server. My husbands green Chile enchiladas were definitely the star of the meals. The fried ice cream redeemed my husband's opinion of fried ice cream. The ladies up front were kind and welcoming. The salsa and chips also fantastic!
