There is a sign by a drink cooler that has a Bible Verse written. That’s awesome itself. Songs playing are from K-Love. The food taste great, atmosphere is great, and the service was fast and attentive. I’ll definitely be back!

The tortillas and soapalias were like crackers. Guacamole has no seasoning or salt. Plates are small. Kinda pricey for what you get.

In my opinion, La Fondita has the best Mexican food in Hobbs. The food is made with fresh ingredients, not canned. The salsa is great and goes really well with their homemade tortilla chips. All the dishes on the menu are great - from burritos to enchiladas to the breakfast plate. Interestingly enough, from the outside, the restaurant looks like a hole in the wall, but the inside is clean, cozy, and well decorated. I eat there all the time and recommend it to newcomers to town.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp from the parking lot to the front door; however, the parking lot is gravel, which can be tricky for some.
Went in to order a to go order paid and sat down and was told food would be right out waited almost 1 hour and finally went and asked for the food and was told they were gonna start on it. Got there at 11am left at 12:40pm waiting on 2 items. Huevos rancheros were thrown together didn't even look appetizing, potatoes undercooked and beans super watery. Chilaquiles were ok but asked for over easy egg and it was way over cooked there was no runny yolk. Overall a bad experience but I guess that is just the type of normal quality and service that you get in Hobbs.
Old school great Mexican food with very nice clean dinning area. The staff ladies were great and the food was better than I actually expected. They nailed it we had a steak Ranchero plate eggs minus potatoes and a combo plate. Very good jobs ladies. ✌️❤️

If you're looking for a small, no thrills Mexican restaurant with great service in Hobbs, NM, I highly recommend La Fondita. They are great for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Their current hours as of 6/28/2023 do not extend into supper time.I stopped in to get an order for takeout since I had more paperwork to finish up at work. The "huevos divorciados" ($13) turned out to be an amazing breakfast. It's just like the name implies - divorced eggs. "Two eggs, one with guisado and one with asado on top. Served with beans and potatoes." Your choice of two corn or flour tortillas. The flour tortillas were homemade. It took about 10 minutes for it to be prepped. I had one more errand to run before I got back to work, but it was still all piping hot at that point. I only wish that next time I get some salsa if possible to put on top of my beans and potatoes.Parking is a gravel lot. Tables and booths are both available for indoor seating. The space is adorned with some really cool metal signs and bright colored decor. The young lady who was serving everyone and working the register was super friendly. Plus she kept me apprised of my wait.Cash or cards are accepted.
