The Pecan Chicken Katsu Bento Box is my favorite. I will come back again, and try the Ginger Beef Box. Excellent service from our server, Jocelyn, who is very professional and friendly. Great food, great service and a very nice atmosphere. I'll definitely come back again.

I'm currently sitting in the restaurant not finishing my meal. The sushi was an abomination. It looked like it was cut with a chainsaw. The rolls fell apart just looking at them, no, seriously, it fell apart sitting on the plate. Clearly, the sushi maker has zero clue what is going on. The sashimi even had bits of sesame seed and nori on it, which indicates she was not cleaning her work surface. Disgusting. The chicken pad Thai was old for sure, and the chicken was definitely freezer burned. I will never return and suggest y'all don't even try it!! Server was pleasant.

I’ve been coming here for years and always enjoyed the sushi and atmosphere. But after this last experience I will definitely not be coming back and cautioning others. The waitress said they changed management and boy you could tell. It took over an hour to get ONE sushi roll when we were the only people in the restaurant. The roll was so bad we left it uneaten. The bento box meat tasted like it had freezer burn and the Resturant was deserted. They fish tank was even empty. When you spend 60$ and two small plates you expect it to taste like something other than deep fried vegetable oil. We won’t make that mistake twice

My husband and I were here two nights ago. We came early..about 5:05 pm. The restaurant was almost empty except for a few diners in another area. There were no other customers where we were seated. My husband ordered crab cakes. I ordered tempura shrimp with asparagus. He ordered a beer. I had wine. We did get the alcohol and an appetizer after about 15 minutes. Then we waited and waited and waited for our meals.By then the restaurant was getting full. Still no meal. Finally my husband’s crab cakes arrived. They were too well done…way too crisp. He also had to go to the counter to get another beer. Waitress didn’t check. Meanwhile i’m still waiting for my shrimp…well over an hour now. I finally complained. My order arrived shortly after. I will say the shrimp was good, but was told they were out of asparagus and was replaced with two two strips of unappetizing sweet potatoes. The waitress made all kinds of excuses, saying they do their best, etc , etc. There was no excuse for this horrible service. We will not be returning.

My wife and I ate there last night and something was wrong. Our order arrived at different times. Part of my order arrived first thenthe rest followed about 10 minutes later. About 10 minutes after that my wife’s dinner came. The food was fine but everything else was not. It took a long time to get served and then in increments. In addition I had to get the attention of the hostess twice to to have our waitress get our drinks. Previously we’ve had no problem with the food and the service has been fine.

This was the worst sushi I have ever eaten. The tuna was spoiled in the roll and tasted vey freezer burned. Our appetizers were good

I’ve been to Aqua Reef hundreds of times in the last 16 years.. Normally have had a good experience, I even got engaged there 15 years ago… Hate to say that this Valentine’s Day was by far the worse experience on record for me and my wife. I do realize that it’s one of the busiest days of the year that’s why we ordered at 4:45 to take home. The young lady said it would be 45 minutes, understandable given the holiday. I arrived an hour later seeing that the extra 15 might be needed.. I proceeded to wait another 45 minutes, she kept telling me it shouldn’t be to much longer.. well it was… Granted, she did ask me if I wanted something to drink and that was very thoughtful but the point is this, I really would not have mind if they told me it was going to be 1 1/2 hour wait, would have prepared for that.. well needless to say that the surprise Valentines Dinner I planned to surprise my wife with at home was ruined cause she didn’t know about it. Thinking I would be home before her, she went ahead a snacked on things at the house and wasn’t hungry when I got home 45 minutes late. My plans were wrecked!!! Very disappointed indeed.. I won’t get into the fact that the online menu was not what I paid… 12 dollar for chicken strips for my son!!! Good god, please adjust your online google menu cause all this and I over paid by 15 dollars.. Sad face over here… okay I’m done venting

Sorry, but I have to put this down a notch.1. My edemame was missing the pink Himalayan salt (too bad there were only 2 ingredients for this dish listed on the menu)2. My seafood Rangoon was still frozen in the middle and they were not triangle shaped (made me think this was not house-made as the menu stated)3. My egg drop soup tasted like just chicken stock with a little green herb dropped on top to kick it up.4. Hot black tea was Walmart brand - see picI probably won't be back for more, but the server was polite and courteous when I asked to have the Rangoon taken off the bill.

Unique food for the area. Chicken curry was good but not my favorite. Pork buns were good but not your typical texture/style. Might visit again to try something else. My friends enjoyed their food. Server was friendly. Peaceful atmosphere.

Went to Aqua Reef for dinner last night, hardly any other tables were full. The service was just terrible!!! They had a sign up that said they were very short staffed....so we expected slow service and we did wait over 1 hour for my food, but the part that upset me was they gave me my dinner and never gave my husband his dinner and we could not find our waitress to even ask where is his food.....finally caught her and she said oh sorry, the cook forgot to get the fish out from the freezer to make the Poke bowl for him...and instead of offering us something else....she said oh my Manager said you could have $10 off your dinner and then immediately left our table....well not that great but better than nothing.....Then when he finally got his Poke bowl of almost frozen fish....the waitress said we could not have the $10 off we would have to wait to use it some other visit??? Can you believe that???? We also noticed that most of the other customers where getting the same coupon she gave us....NO idea what was happening, but really a bad way to run a restaurant!!!! Not sure if we will ever go back, such a POOR experience!!!!

First time here and the food were delicious. Reasonable prices. Staff were attentive and friendly making sure we have all we need. Place was not crowded because we came early. Quick service too.

The three star rating is in relation to what they were before Covid. Most dining establishments have suffered through the pandemic, but Aqua Reef is especially sad because they were a five star operation. The server was just excellent and made every effort, but the menu which was open and clear in the past is now dark and cluttered. The first few moments at the table led me to ask if the restaurant had changed ownership or management. If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.Vegetarian options: They have always offered vegetarian if not vegan food.Kid-friendliness: There were no children present and I don’t recall ever having seen children there.Parking: There is ample parking.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant appears to be very accessible, but I am not an expert.Dietary restrictions: The food is healthy. I think the customer would receive good information from the staff about particular issues.

We moved to New Mexico one year ago from Dallas/FtWorth. We love it, but truly miss a few cuisines. We’ve hesitated on sushi places but we finally found a good spot! We loved every single thing that we ordered and we ordered a lot! A huge part of our experience was our server, Josephine. She was fun and prompt. Plus, her recommendations were perfect. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you, Josephine!
