Excellent tacos and very friendly, great service. Our waitress took time to explain the menu items to us ( we are from Wisconsin ?. We had the enchiladas with cheese and red sauce and the taco combination platter. Both were delicious. We loved the Alhambra taco with beef and peppers. The Al Pastor was also so delicious. The salsas were spicy and delicious. The ambiance was cool with Dia De Los Muertos decorations. This was a gas station, do not let that stop you from eating here!!

OMG-this whole in the wall restraint in an old gas station is AMAZING. All the food is authentic Mexican (NOT Telmex, Not New Mexico style, authentic Mexican from Michoacán Mexico). The Tacos Carnitas and the torta alsado where absolutely delicious and enourmouse (and extremely well priced). A wonderful stop.

This is an amazing, family owned, true Mexican restaurant! My boys also love their food and they are ages 8,6,&2. I eat it so fast I don’t have time to get a picture! ?? We are here multiple times. It’s a hidden gem right off of Hwy 70. I recommend the sampler platter if you’ve never eaten there.

Off the highway on the way to White Sands National Monument you won't want to miss Taqueria Las Catrinas. The friendly gracious owners Eli and Paloma told me they modeled it after Paloma's family restaurant in Michoacan. They wouldn't tell me how they make their magic, but the salsas, the meats and the hand made to order tacos are scrumptious. We were lucky enough to be there when they had face painting. Eli told me they have mariachis sometimes (pre-COVID?). It's a sit down restaurant (just opened up again with limited seating since COVID), but they do great take out too. They make genuine al pastor tacos on a rotating spit grill, sirloin tacos, flautas and quesadillas. They even have a Keto taco without the fresh tortilla (they make the shell out of grilled cheese somehow). I don't know if it's that I'm used to California or tourist prices, but I couldn't believe how cheap it was too. It cost less than 2 or 3 bucks each and you get a hand made fresh preservative free tortilla! As far as COVID goes, the staff all wears masks and I saw them changing gloves frequently. They pack curbside food separately to keep it fresh too. (we were there in November, which is when they had face painting, which is when we took the photos we submitted here so no masks). It was so good, I got the Taquiza (?) order to go. It's the fixings for some 20 tacos! I flew home with it from El Paso to bring into work the next day for all my staff.
