I am not sure if people from the area are not used to a good italian restaurant but I did not find Luna Rossa to be a good italian restaurant. First, the service was slow and not that great. The restaurant was not that busy when we came in and was seated right away but no one came to drop off menus or water for about five minutes. I ordered a pizza because it is a pizzeria after all and a sangria. The pizza had some good ingredients but it was not an authentic italian pizza. The cheese was not really good and it kinda took away from the pizza flavor. The crust was weak and the pizza fell apart every time I tried to hold a slice. The Sangria wine was also average. The server also changed couple of times which I was not sure why and it took a long time to order, then get food and then cash out. So overall I don't recommend this if you are looking for an authentic italian cuisine with good flavors.

Get the wine samplers. We basically ordered all of the wine lol. We were feelin nice afterwards. Fire. Love the pizza. Fiancé and I enjoyed the experience.

Absolutely great pizza, pasta, and salads, as well as an excellent selection of gelato!

Great pizza. Love the atmosphere. Often jump in for a quick lunch. Their woodfired pizza is scrumptious. Not forgetting the gelato.

Came to Las Cruces for a vacation. This stop was well worth the bill and that was cheaper than expected. A must go if in the area!!!

First time here and pizza was ok you can taste is made in a brick oven and cheese es good but some of the ingredients doesn't taste so good, like salami have a strong pork flavor, the spaghetti doesn't have flavor, some salads are missing the flavor or something for the price of the food I was expecting a little real Italian flavor...

It's always great here. The food is always good and the service is normally attentive. I'm not a wine drinker, but my friends say it's very good. Nice ambiance.

Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. Friendly staff, great service and we had a very good meal. My wife got the salmon salad and it was a very nice piece of salmon, cooked perfectly. I had a pizza and the salad and found it to be very tasty. Thanks!

Atmosphere, service, prices and flavor ALL exceptional.I'm pretty sure there are magic elves in the kitchen making the Panini sandwiches. I swear they're the best I've ever had (to include Europe!).Service was great, to include a visit to the table by the owner. This was our third visit, first two same time a year ago. Consistently awesome. Drove an hour out of our way to stop in for lunch. EASILY WORTH THE TRIP!!Do yourself a favor, eat here. Order the Panini.

We’re always on the hunt for delicious wood-fired pizza and Luna Rossa did not disappoint! My son is a Margherita pizza “expert” and he raved about his. The Insalata Paolo was full of delicious toppings and served far more than just 2 of us. I had the Quattro Stagioni as I’m a sucker for artichokes. It was delicious! The crusts were just perfect! Had their Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio and enjoyed both. Shared some very tasty gelato for dessert. All in all, a very satisfying night out!

I came with a large group of girls about 10 of us for lunch. I wanted something light and the first thing that I ordered was not available then I ordered the cheese platter and I told them I was gluten-free, so could they replace the bread with something else like crackers, after everyone was served, I had not been served. I reminded my waitress of what I ordered. She brought out a plate with four handfuls of white cubes of cheese. It looked Pathetic she also brought out fresh toasted bread, but I’m gluten-free I asked if there was something else that could replace the bread and she said no do you have olives or pizza crust or fruit pepper Cheaneys nuts anything to make it look more appetizing no everyone in my party agreed it looked awful. Needless to say I ate a few pieces and then asked for it to go box, it all fit in the smallest to go box and my bill at the table was the highest when broken down per person. Mine was $22 for the cheese and a glass of lemonade. I was very disappointed. I have cheese at my house. Would anyone like to come and join me?

Dam Good. Perfect NY style pizza! Can eat the crust plain. Heavenly. The salads are a meal. Had the shrimp salad. Big fat juicy shrimp. Sautéed to flavorful perfection. Too full for dessert in house baked cakes and ice cream! Gotta come back! There wines are delicious and enchanting bring some home or for gifts. Great food, great service and great experience!
