The food is what always brings me back here. So I don't mind as much the slow service or the fact that it was kind of loud at least initially. Thankful that it did quiet down later. All in all a good place to eat out.

Health Department needs to be called for an inspection. If people knew what condition the kitchen was in the back and saw the abuse of food safety this place would be shut down in a heartbeat!

Very few Mexican dishes on the menu. Supposed to be a Mexican food restaurant. Haha!

I had a great birthday celebration with friends on Saturday evening. The black mole chicken enmoladas were fabulous! Friendly service!

The food is very unique. I love the Aztec Shrimp - they are huge, wrapped in bacon on a bed of nopalitos, and smothered black mole. Also, the Cognac Steak and NY Strip served 3 Ways are excellent. Highly recommend!Parking: Plenty of parking in their parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: All ground floor access.

Went for lunch.Food was really good but definitely a twist on the local Mexican cuisine. The salsa was a green salsa made with what I am guessing was crema. Awesome flavor. Enchiladas were amazing. Fries were crisp and tasty.Waitresses were friendly and tried to be on top of it but obviously needed a busperson or another waitperson to keep up. When asked, they opened patio for a couple who preferred to eat outside despite the staff issues. Really a demonstration of customer friendly in my book.Place was 1/2 full when we arrived but most tables had not been bussed yet. Otherwise atmosphere was a "ladies that lunch" vibe. Clean other than tables.Would not recommend if you need a quick meal but otherwise we'll worth it.

The menu is focused on egg dishes alongside black beans, varying the prep method and sauces to reflect local tastes for chile dishes. The ambiance is rustic-chic, with windows overlooking the desert and Organ Mountains. Service is unexceptional. The sauces used with the egg dishes tasted good, but the cook is not expert at eggs in my opinion. I really like the place because I can have some food I enjoy while relaxing in a lovely place.

Deserves another star. The food was delicious (the Tuscana Pasta especially), great service and atmosphere as well. It’s now my favorite restaurant in the area.

Such a unique twist on your favorite dishes. They know how to create the right combinations. Starting with the chips and salsa...the salsa is so unique and different (in a great way). I wish they would bottle their salsa so I can take several pints home for later. Please, please bottle it!Now let's talk fries, oh my, the chili lime seasoning is amazing! Did I mention you can also get sweet potato fries?! I can eat them all day long without needing any ketchup or dipping sauce. My favorite is the Pecan Encrusted Chicken Salad. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. This is the place if you are tired of the "normal" mexican/southwest food in Cruces!

Located in a quiet area of Mesilla, NM, Paisanos Café has the best Tlalpeño broth in Las Cruces, as well as a wide variety of Mexican dishes; mole, chiles en nogada, etc. I highly recommend it for quality, flavor, price and customer service. Of course I'll be back!
