It’s delicious enough to be 4/5 star, but they skimped on the al la carte servings.I’ve ordered a thali from them before and enjoyed the Paneer dish. This time only gave 4 pieces of paneer in my large round take away container, and just overloaded the rice.Honestly you get the same amount of paneer when you order the vegetarian thali. Also I think they gave me a different sauce. I thought it was supposed to be tomato base? It was last time.I’m giving 2 stars because while it Tastes fine, i’m upset by the skimpy portion.

The place is very clean and the food taste fresh for the most part but the problem is the insane over pricing for micro portions. I’m a very small person who does not eat a lot. $20 for a single , mostly bone chicken leg, 2 cups heaping of rice and about a table spoon and 1/2 of beans and other sauce that was supposed to be chicken but had a salad bar size cube chunk of chicken floating in mostly just oil sauce. They mostly gave me rice! Tons and tons of rice . The chicken including what was on the bone was literally 2 bites. I felt they just gave me a sample size. Places that charge a bunch but provide mostly rice as a filler to make it look like a full meal, are ripping you off and they know it. I realize inflation is causing food prices everywhere to go up but this was taking it too far and not acceptable. See the picture of the micro sampling cups that they use for all their sides. It’s about the size of a Costco sample. I put my sunglasses next to the cup to show how small the portions are which are mostly sauce anyway. Idk if they just saw me and thought they could get away with not giving me any food because I’m small? Any other adult man or women of average height / weight would have been starving. The cup holds about 2 tablespoons . The portioning is pretty sparse even for a kids meal! Maybe I was ripped off because I ordered take out? The restaurant was empty so maybe this is an ongoing issue?

We were finally able to visit this option to very Mexican-centric dining scene in Las Cruces. We were EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.You have 2 choices meat or vegetarian served on cafeteria tray and our menu was for Monday/Wednesday.Shared on either menu were naan, 2, slabs 12"x6" of flatbread, way too much, kheer, a very tasty rice pudding, basmati rice, and daal makhani, lentils and kidney beans stew. The meat menu had a chicken curry and butter chicken, a drum stick. The vegetarian had chana masala chickpeas stew and shimla mirch aloo, vegetables and potato stew. It appeared that all the vegetarian stews had a mother sauce that caused all the stews to taste the same apart from the main ingredients. So, rather than usual rich spices of Indian cuisine, the stews were pretty ordinary. We had the chai tea and mango lassi which were adequate. While we welcome this restaurants addition to much needed variety to Las Cruces dining scene and hope the venture succedes, we'll probably will not visit this restaurant to try the other 2 menus.Of note is the many country flags of which many were unidentifiable and looped soothing music.

Food was delicious, perfectly spiced and seasoned. Had the butter chicken, chicken curry including salad, rice, naan bread, dessert, and complimentary chai tea. Fixed menu allows for fast service and the hostess was kind and helpful. They close at 5pm but allowed us to stay and eat at our leisure. Found the large screen music videos distracting. I think the ambiance would be better if there was just some soft music playing. You get a lot of food for the price. Will definitely come again when in the mood for Indian food.Vegetarian options: There were plenty of options when it comes to vegetarian dishes. All of the vegetarian parts of my meal tasted great.Parking: Parking is mostly on the side but there is room both in front and in back of the building.Kid-friendliness: The menu I was given was not kid-friendly. They do have a cheaper meal option that includes a smaller portion but I saw no kids menu.

Excellent and authentic Indian food. Our new favorite place. The excellent service and the food is perfect. So nice to have a restaurant like this in Las Cruces. All the sauces are unique whether it is the dals or the meat dishes. And everything is always fresh. Oh yeah, and the chai is perfect!

Nice place. Would eat again, though I'm just passing thru. They are open only 11-5 right now; said maybe dinner during the summer. I had dine-in, which I thought of like a prix fixe menu, but you get it all on one tray. The menu differs by the day. They have take-out, but I think that's just one entree item, plus salad/rice. I got a chai tea (minor issue, see below), mango lassi, and the veggie option. Delicious. Loved it all. Some items had a serious kick. Some had a mellow sweetness mmmm... Ate it all. I actually like the metal tray it comes in. It added to the ambience. My only issue was I thought the chai tea was free. There's a sign that says so at the foot of the cashier stand. And I thought that's what the server said. But I'm pretty sure I was charged (there isn't an itemized bill, but the total pre-tip was off). If I had known I'd be charged, I'd have skipped it or the mango lassi. (owners can check: I was transaction 16 of batch 189) Anyway, the Indian server was very friendly, and I want this place to stay in business. Where I live in East Texas, there are no Indian options. Zero. I have eaten at Indian places around the world, and "Taste of India" was as good as any. (note: not an expert, not a foodie)

Very good. The food was even served on a Thali which is a traditional metal tray that millions of people in India eat on every day. I love this nod to Indian tradition. The inside is cozy and accommodating. There's small tables with vinyl table cloths with your very own napkin dispenser. The menu is different depending on the day. Each day you have 2 choices: a meal with meat or vegetarian. I decided to eat vegetarian this day (I visited on a Tuesday). My daughter is vegan and they had no problem accommodating her. I'll be honest with you, I forgot the names of each dish, but they were delicious. The portions are pretty big. I tried my hardest to finish everything but I couldn't. The naan was super fresh, soft and buttery. My tray is the one with the white circle which was a delicious rice pudding. It wasn't too sweet and it had hints of cardamom and orange. I mostly focused on the dish on the bottom right and mixed it with rice and scooped it with naan. It was spicy and it had potatoes and peas to add a wonderful texture. One thing I want to start adding to my reviews is the quality of the water. This place has yummy cold water. My service was impeccable. Highly recommend and will DEFINITELY be back.
