We’ve only recently discovered this place, and have been getting tamales every week it seems. They are very good most of the time. Like, 99% of the time the tamales are amazing. Maybe one every now and then seem dry, or just not as good as normal.Their green Chile chicken tamales are life changing though.

I bought 3 dozen pork tamales, 3 salsa red, and 2 drinks. I dropped off tamales at 3 locations. EVERYONE, at least 9 people said these were the best tamales in town. They are huge!! 10/10 tamales are expensive but worth it! Wonderful flavor, they don't fall apart, great masa/meat ratio...Very filling. Worth the money. Worth the wait. The young man that cashed me out was very respectful. This place is a local treasure.Parking: Be careful backing out onto McGaffey St. Park in the old Churches parking lot and walk over if it's during lunch or dinner.

The best tortillas in the entire USA.. Every time I visit Roswell I always buy 20-25 packages of corn tortillas.. My favorites.. Kid-friendliness: They have a variety of sweets and children love sweets, it is always a good place for children.

Tortillas are pretty awful. Chewie and no flavor. The tamales on the other hand are some of the best I've had. Definitely would have been a bust if I had only gotten the tortillas.

They have got to figure out a better parking situation! Every time I drive by one of their customers almost causes an accident backing into traffic and always causes a traffic jam. I'll don't shop there specifically because of this.Parking: Parking is a ridiculous mess and very unsafe for customers and people just driving by!

I had no choice to rate this place in order to post my review but my reason to not give this place any stars was due to their service, before my experience with them i would've rated them with a 2 stars only for their tamales, but it seems they are not authentic enough to comprehend on how customer service works so im giving them a negative 5, and my reason so is because i was shorted on an order, and they refuse to make it right regardless of their signs it shouldn't be a customers responsibility to make sure to have the full order, customer service is also part of the business making sure the order is correct before customer leaves their place of business, and the second reason is I had purchased several sweet items only to find worms in the products, I will leave my rate and move on, word of advise to owner of el metate that your lack of customer service skills isn't enough to make you authentic.
